Reviews of 7 day Tours from Rome
- 5-day Best of Italy: Rome, Florence & Venice
It was a fantastsic tour! Clara, so knowledgeable and always so helpful.
- 8-day Best of Italy: Rome, Florence & Venice
We had the 8-day UNESCO Jewels Best of Italy tour, and it was fantastic! Airport transport for both arrival and departure went smoothly. The tour agency was always quick to respond to emails. The tours had a nice balance of free time and included activities, and the optional tours were reasonably priced and of good quality. The bus was comfortable, though the bus Wifi unreliable. The bus driver was friendly. Hotels were comfortable, better than I expected actually. Locations were all convenient, and included breakfasts were simple but superior to complimentary continental breakfasts found in the United States. Included meals were okay; two were average and two were excellent. In general, even for meals not included, I found food in Italy to be on the saltier side. The highlight of the tour was definitely our phenomenal tour director Clara Leone. She was crazy but so much fun, and really cared about all of us. She took the time to get to know us all and frequently gave personal recommendations for each city in our tour. I had a fantastic trip and it was nice that everything was taken care of for me.
- The Italian Dream
Fantastic tour package. Accomodations, tours and guide were amazing. My wife and I would have had a really hard time exploring Italy is such a great way if this trip was done differently. There were no hassle of planning and we were just left with great memories.
What our customers ask about Best 7 day Tours from Rome
What are some popular destinations covered on 7-day tours from Rome?
Most tours take you through Italy's must-see cities like Florence, Venice, Pisa, and Vatican City. You'll walk through Florence's historic center to see the magnificent Duomo, float down Venice's serene canals, check out the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, and explore St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Many tours put you up in well-located spots like the Hotel Ariston in Rome or the Hotel Continental in Venice, making it easy to explore on your own during free time.
What kind of transportation is used on 7-day tours from Rome?
You'll get around mainly by high-speed train and comfortable buses with WiFi. One traveler told us "The high-speed train from Rome to Florence took only 2 hours and was very comfortable." Some companies, like Costsaver, use buses for the whole trip so you can see more of the Italian countryside along the way.
What type of accommodations are typically included?
You'll stay in 3-4 star hotels that are either in the city center or close to public transportation. Popular choices include the Hotel Delfino in Venice-Mestre and Hotel Aberdeen in Rome. One traveler noted, "Hotels were clean and comfortable, though rooms in Italy tend to be smaller than American standards." Each room comes with a private bathroom, and breakfast is always included.
When is the best time to take a 7-day tour from Rome?
Spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) are your best bets. The weather is pleasant at 68-77°F (20-25°C), and you won't face the big summer crowds. Summer months can get pretty hot, often hitting 85-95°F (29-35°C), and tourist spots get really packed. One traveler mentioned: "We went in May and had perfect weather for exploring, with fewer tourists than peak summer months."
What level of physical activity should I expect on these tours?
Most tours keep things pretty manageable with easy to moderate activity levels. City walks in Florence and Venice usually last 2-3 hours on mostly flat ground. One traveler shared, "The pace was comfortable with plenty of breaks, though good walking shoes are essential for cobblestone streets." Some optional activities might involve more walking or stairs, but they're always optional.
