Brehme· October 6th, 2025A great tour if you're on a budget and would like to see some of the main gems in Italy. The Rome segment is a bit unstructured and to be honest can be done without a tour group if you plan and book activities in advance. A lot of walking is involved but public transport in Rome is very efficient and affordable and can get you within 5 to 10 mins walk of most attractions. We had the hotel accommodation which was basic but sufficient for what we required. Really appreciated the breakfast which made it less of a hassle for us. Other group members mentioned the situations at the hostel and camping which did not seem ideal but depends on your personal preference as we were a couple. Giovanni was our guide and he was the best. Very pleasant, patient, kind and helpful. Answered all our questions and made us feel like there was someone who really cared about us away from home. One of the best parts of this tour was the relationship we developed with him.Show moreTrip date: September 2025- CCChanice· September 1st, 2024Really enjoyed the tour and compliments to Nedas as he was very informative about the information given about Rome and its history, and being very helpfull about navigating around Rome and such. Giovanni is an absolute sweetheart and really took good care of us during the second part of the trip. If i'm honest i'd rate the tour okay/good (not excellent) as a big part of the tour you're left with free time and figuring out a lot on your own, which i didnt thought the tour was given the itinerary (i prefer tours with a lot of activities as options or arranged already). Nevertheless had a good time.Show more

Show moreTrip date: August 2024 - EFElliot· August 11th, 2024This is a great way to explore Italy without too much stress. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and interesting and clearly care a lot about your experience, they made sure we felt safe and went above and beyond in having fun on the tour, outside of what was planned in the tour. The groups are small generally, which gives you a good opportunity to make fast friends. Generally attracts a younger crowd as there can be a lot of walking, but efforts are made to accommodate you.Show more

Asked on July 22nd, 2025Is the accommodation included in this price of $1,170. Is there option to get private room. Is breakfast, lunch, dinner included. Will there by lot of walking or trekking. Is the tour suitable for people on the heavier side. As i am 42 years old
Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written July 2025Yes, accommodation is included for the entire duration of the tour, unless you select the tour only option. We have the multishare option or private double room. If you are a solo traveller and you wish your own privacy, single room can be requested based on availability. Meals are not included in this package as we like to give you the freedom to choose and try all the specialities based on your preferences & budget. The tour includes moderate walking, such as exploring historic towns, coastal villages, and archaeological sites. The tour is suitable for people of all body types. The pace is relaxed, and while there's some walking involved (mainly around towns and sites), nothing is overly strenuous.

Traveler•Written July 2025I currently do not have europe visa. Will the hotels be in a noisy place. Will the team pickup the group directly from hotel daily.
Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written July 2025We don't offer daily hotel pick-up, as our tours are mostly done on foot. The hotels we use are in central areas, but not in noisy or party-heavy neighborhoods, even though there might be some bars around.

Asked on April 30th, 2025I have a group of 4-6 people who would be interested in participating in this tour July 12-18. I see online that it is sold out, is there any way to organize an additional tour for our preferred dates?
Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written April 2025Sure, we can definitely organise a private tour for your group. Are you happy with this itinerary, inclusions & accommodation?

Traveler•Written May 2025The itinerary looks good. What would be an estimated price for different accommodations in 3 star or higher hotels?

Traveler•Written May 2025What would be the cost to include hotels for a group of 4?
Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written May 2025The same tour and itinerary for a group of 4 people, based in hotels, would be €4650 per person. This would be a fully private experience, meaning you'd have your own vehicle except for Capri day trip, and dedicated tour leader throughout the journey. If you're looking for something more budget-friendly — still private for your group — we can certainly offer a self-guided version of the itinerary. In this case, we would: Maintain the same inclusions (hotels, transfers, key experiences), Book shared day tours with our trusted partners, Customize the itinerary for you to explore at your own pace, Offer remote assistance from our team throughout the trip. This option allows you more flexibility and helps reduce costs by at least 20% by excluding the dedicated tour leader.
