Really enjoyed the tour and compliments to Nedas as he was very informative about the information given about Rome and its history, and being very helpfull about navigating around Rome and such. Giovanni is an absolute sweetheart and really took good care of us during the second part of the trip. If i'm honest i'd rate the tour okay/good (not excellent) as a big part of the tour you're left with free time and figuring out a lot on your own, which i didnt thought the tour was given the itinerary (i prefer tours with a lot of activities as options or arranged already). Nevertheless had a good time.

This is a great way to explore Italy without too much stress. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and interesting and clearly care a lot about your experience, they made sure we felt safe and went above and beyond in having fun on the tour, outside of what was planned in the tour. The groups are small generally, which gives you a good opportunity to make fast friends. Generally attracts a younger crowd as there can be a lot of walking, but efforts are made to accommodate you.

Best decision if you're travelling alone and open to meeting new people. Our tour guide, Giovanni was the best - you can tell he enjoys what he's doing. He was really helpful and inclusive. The Amalfi coast, Sorrento, and Capri was the best part. Opted for the extra package with the Capri chairlift and Sorrento dinner which is so worth it.

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten November 2024

In Rome, we carefully select top-rated, centrally located hostels, all within a 5-10 minute walk of Roma Termini, the main train station, which is incredibly convenient for arrivals from either of Rome's airports. The shared rooms are equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and either safes or lockers for your personal belongings. Room sizes range from 4 to 8 beds, and our accommodation partners consistently maintain Google ratings of 4.0 and above, ensuring both quality and security. In Sorrento, our groups typically stay at the camping village with stunning views of the surrounding area. The shared cabins here accommodate three people, all equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and personal safes for added security. I'm happy to share that we've had no reported issues with safety at any of these locations, but if you're seeking more privacy, we also offer a Twin Share option for this tour. This provides a private room (in a hostel or B&B) shared with just one other guest, giving you added comfort and a bit more personal space.
