What people love about Java Tours
- From Jakarta : Best Highlight Java Trip : Private Tour
The tour was very well organized. Our guide gave us a lot of knowledge and the driver did a great job. He chauffeured us safely across the country. Thank you very much for eventful days
- Amazing Yogyakarta Tour With Local People
Our trip to Yogyakarta was amazing. Our guide, Andy, was terrific. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about everything we saw and provided excellent explanations. He made sure we were completely taken care of at all sites. The tour company organized 4 days of really interesting visits. At a couple of the sites, they made sure that we had guides from the site that were super knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. The only downside part was our visit to a cavern. If it weren't the rainy season, it would have been great being lowered by rope and harness 60 meters. However, the cave was completely muddy and terribly difficult to continue into the section of the cavern with the rock formations. My advice to the tour company is not to offer this cavern at all during the rainy season. Also, be aware that you have to wear wellington boots into the cavern and they do not have big sizes. If you are a man with shoe size of 11 or greater, they will not have boots that fit you. At the end of the trip, I was surprised. The tour included r/t transport from the airport, which is a good hour away from the city. I canceled our arranged taxi and saved a lot of money. Also, when you book this tour, I would highly recommend upgrading to at least a 4☆ hotel. The cost difference was negligible, but highly worthwhile. A 3☆ hotel would be very basic and probably not acceptable. Despite the cavern, I have rated this trip 5☆, due to the itinerary and mostly because of our guide, Andi. Everyone visiting Indonesia should include this city in their itinerary. It is not a highly touristy place like Bali, but so worth it from a historical and geological perspective, especially if you want to see an active volcano caldera and the volcano that erupted on 2010.
- Best of Java
9 days is probably a bit rushed to see the best of Java (it's a large island with a lot to see), but for those short on time this is a great tour. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide, our guide was of course knowledgeable and helpful, but more than that he went out of his way to make sure everyone had a fantastic time. The quality of transportation was pretty good however 2 of the 9 days were consumed with 8+ hour train journeys.
What our customers ask about Java Tours & Trips
How do you get to Java's natural areas and what can you see there?
The stunning Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is home to the famous Mount Bromo and trust me the sunrise views from Penanjakan viewpoint are absolutely worth the early wake-up call. You'll want to hop on one of the jeep tours that'll take you across this amazing Sea of Sand it's quite an adventure. There's also this impressive Madakaripura Waterfall you can reach by car and then a bit of hiking really beautiful spot.
Where can you find those hidden gems in Java that tourists often miss?
There's this peaceful spot called Seloliman Nature Reserve on Mt Penanggungan's slopes that's really special. You can learn so much about local environment and traditional Javanese herbal medicine here. The Environmental Education Centre is fascinating you'll meet volunteers working there and enjoy amazing organic meals cooked by their staff. They've got these cool open-air bathrooms that just blend right into the forest it's quite an experience.
