Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca
Your driver meets you at Mohamed 5 Airport in Casablanca and takes you to your hotel. If you've already checked in elsewhere in the city, they'll pick you up from there instead. You'll settle in and spend the night getting rest after your arrival.
- Day 2
Rabat - Chefchaouen
Start the day at Hassan 2 Mosque, the largest mosque in Casablanca. Then head north to Rabat, Morocco's capital, where you'll see Bab Challah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Oudaya Kasbah. After lunch at a local restaurant, the drive takes you to Chefchaouen. You'll arrive with time to walk through the blue medina's alleyways, get some photos, try local food, and stay overnight in the blue city.

Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, you'll wander Chefchaouen's blue alleyways at your own pace. Then it's on to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, a UNESCO site with preserved mosaics, pillars, and archways. From there, continue 30 km to Meknes to see Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, granary, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. You'll finish the day in Fes, checking into a traditional Riad for the night.

Fes
A local guide takes you through Fes's main attractions. You'll walk past the Royal Palace gate, then enter the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, through the distinctive Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate). The narrow alleyways lead you to Medrasa Bouanania, Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin Mosque and University, which happens to be the oldest university in the world. You'll also check out the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and climb to an ancient fortress for views across the entire city before heading back to your Riad.

Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and the nickname 'Switzerland of Morocco.' Stop at the cedar forest to walk around and see Barbary macaques while feeding them. Midelt comes next with free time for lunch. Then the route heads south through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz valley. By evening you're in Merzouga at the Sahara. Switch to camels and cross the sandy dunes, stopping on a high dune to catch the sunset. At the luxury desert camp, you'll have Berber music, dancing around the campfire under the stars, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
You'll wake early to watch the desert sunrise. After free breakfast, you leave the sand to visit Rissani, the ancient Tafilalet capital and trading hub with a large souk that runs 3 days a week. Walk through the souk, then go to Erfoud to check out a fossilized marble workshop. The route passes through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves before reaching Todra Gorges, where a river has carved a deep red-cliff canyon perfect for rock climbers. Wander through the gorges and take in the landscape. After free lunch at a restaurant, continue through palm groves to Dades Valley by way of Boumalne Dades with stops at the 'monkey fingers' rock formation and scenic overlooks. End with dinner and a night in a hotel.

Rose Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
You'll head to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley, where vendors sell rose products like perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics (there's an annual Rose Festival in May if you're around). Then drive through Skoura palm groves to Ouarzazate and visit the studios where famous movies got made. Next comes the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and fortified village that appeared in Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. You'll drive to Marrakech through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and High Atlas Mountains with stops for lunch and photos. Dinner and an overnight stay complete the day.

Marrakech
After breakfast at your Riad, you'll see Marrakech's main sights, including Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. Grab lunch at a restaurant near the square, then walk through the souks to browse handicrafts from different vendors. The afternoon is free to explore other parts of the red city before returning to your accommodation.

Marrakech to Essaouira
After breakfast, you'll leave Marrakech for Essaouira on the coast. This windsurfing destination is popular April through November. You'll explore the fortified medina, art galleries, boutiques, fishing nets, and traditional boats in the atmospheric port. The city has a vibrant cultural mix worth experiencing before settling in for the night.

Essaouira to Airport or Casablanca
After breakfast in your Essaouira Riad, you'll get transferred to the airport if you're flying that day, or dropped at your Casablanca hotel if you're heading back there. If you're leaving from Marrakech instead, the transfer goes to Marrakech Airport.
