Itinerary
- Day 1
Yogyakarta
You'll arrive at Yogyakarta International Airport and get transferred to your hotel. Once you check in, the afternoon and evening are yours to do what you'd like - rest up after traveling or take a walk around the area to get a feel for the city.
- Day 2
Borobudur - Candirejo - Yogyakarta
This morning you're heading to Borobudur Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, where a local monk shows you around the ancient carvings and the architecture. After grabbing lunch at a local spot, you'll take a horse-drawn dokar ride through Candirejo Village, passing by traditional houses and watching how locals make cassava crackers, play gamelan music, and work on their crops.

Yogyakarta
Start your morning in a traditional becak rickshaw that takes you to the Royal Palace of Keraton, where you'll walk through the grounds and see the royal garments. Then it's on to the Tamansari Water Castle to check out the pools, underground tunnels, and detailed architecture. After lunch, you'll learn about batik making and shadow puppets before heading to Prambanan Temple from the 9th century, where you'll watch a Ramayana Ballet performance before returning to your hotel.

Mojokerto - Bromo
After breakfast, you're taking an executive train to Mojokerto, watching the green landscapes and rolling hills pass by. From there you'll visit Madakaripura Waterfall near Mount Bromo, then head to Cemoro Lawang hamlet and transfer to a mountain lodge situated near Mount Bromo for the night.

Kalibaru
You'll see the sunrise over Mount Bromo's volcanic landscape early this morning. A 4-wheel drive jeep takes you down into the caldera, and you'll climb the stairs up to the crater rim for a closer look - or you can choose a horseback ride instead. Back at your accommodation for breakfast, then you'll continue on to Kalibaru with lunch stops along the route.

Banyuwangi
After breakfast, you're heading out to explore coffee, clove, and cacao plantations in Kalibaru, learning how they produce coffee and brown sugar. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Banyuwangi, a coastal city on Java's eastern tip that serves as the gateway to Bali. After checking into your accommodation, the rest of the day is yours to relax.

Ijen Nature Reserve - Ubud
You'll leave at 3:00 AM heading to Ijen Nature Reserve for a trek that takes about 90 minutes and covers 3 kilometers uphill to reach the crater rim. The sunrise over the turquoise sulphur lake set in the volcanic landscape is worth the early start, and there's an optional even earlier departure if you want to see the rare Blue Fire phenomenon. After descending and returning to your hotel for breakfast, you'll freshen up and then head to Ketapang Harbour for the scenic ferry crossing to Bali. From there you'll continue through Bali to Ubud for the night.

Grab coffee at a café or hunt down temples and hidden spots around this charming town. Later in the evening, you'll join the other travelers at your hotel for a farewell dinner to wrap up the trip.
