Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
Your guide will meet you at the airport or train station and take you straight to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day to settle in and rest up after your journey.
- Day 2
Dieng Plateau
After breakfast, you'll head out to Dieng Plateau, which sits about 116km from Yogyakarta at an elevation of 2,093 meters. The drive takes you through some interesting terrain to see the Arjuna Temple Complex, Crater Sikidang, Telaga Warna, and Telaga Pengilon. Your guide will explain the rare child dreads phenomenon found in this area. Lunch happens before you make the return trip back to Magelang.

Borobudur Temple and Candirejo Village
You'll spend time at Borobudur, the massive Buddhist monument with the world's largest stupa and thousands of sculptural reliefs. From there, you'll head to Candirejo village to get a feel for traditional Javanese life, making cassava chips and learning some gamelan music, plus walking through the local vegetable gardens. Horse carriage rides are available if you want them. After lunch, the afternoon takes you to Kaliadem for views of Mount Merapi before heading back.

Gua Jomblang and Prambanan Temple
You'll visit Gua Jomblang cave and then move on to Prambanan Temple, one of Java's most important Hindu temples with significant historical and cultural value.

Yogyakarta Cultural Tour and Departure
After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you'll see the Sultan Palace, where the King and royal family live. A pedicab ride takes you to Taman Sari Water Castle, the old royal residence and bathing area. Next comes Pasar Burung, the bird market, followed by lunch. Then you'll travel to Kotagede Mataram, the former kingdom capital and Yogyakarta's silver crafting center. Your last stop is Malioboro for souvenir shopping before heading to the airport.
