What people love about USA Tours in April
- 7 day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Tour
We are very satisfied with this Company. I have been organizing private customized tours for groups of seniors (50 and above) in several countries (Europe, UK, Southeast Asia, United States) so I am experienced enough to compare tour operators and guides. I must say this Company is in my top 3 list in terms of service delivery for reasons stated below. Summary of review: • Planning and organization (Becky)- 5 stars. Email exchanges were fast and queries were immediately answered. • Driver/Guide (Jon - short for Jonathan Maret? if i remembered correctly) - 5 stars. o Safe driving. o Very informative in each place we visited. o Very accommodating. o Very helpful. o Very Intelligent guy. Our group: We are a group of 13 adults ( 2 between ages 25-30, 11 between ages 55 to 75) from the Philippines. For a tour involving national parks, we are not an easy group to handle due to the usual senior citizen concerns (i.e. mobility issues, heat concerns (we came from a country with too much sunlight (we do everything to avoid it lol) so desert heat is quite a concern ), health concern - requiring A LOT of comfort stops). Since it has been THE DREAM of the group to see US' world renowned National Parks, finding a tour operator that can cater the group's concerns is a must. Planning and organization As the head of the group, I liaised with several tour operators in California and Nevada and compare service offers and quotes. Among the proposals I received, Bindlestiff is the most reasonable and flexible. Becky (the person in charge) was quick ( like VERY QUICK – which is a good thing) to exchange emails from planning the routes to recommending hotels. (we booked our own hotels but Becky did a helpful job in giving suggestions on which ones to cancel and change). Becky was very responsive in ensuring my concerns were answered. (i.e. vehicle type, luggage space, change of price - there were supposedly 18 of us, however, we had to cancel 5 due to Visa concerns). Kudos to Becky for excellent customer service. Tour Service There was a lot to see with our itinerary and I have to give all the credit to JON. In each destination, he had a lot of inputs as to the history and in-depth views of the national parks and even each town we passed by. This guy is intelligent. He can easily talk about sports, politics and practically anything. Plus, he has great sense of humor. He was quick to adapt to the group. He changed the route to make sure that the hikes were short. He also made a lot of comfort stops when he found out most of us use restrooms a lot. Lol As our itinerary involves a lot of driving, I am very pleased with Jon’s way of driving. He was always on the side of caution. I sat at the front passenger side so I can vouch his great driving skills. He was also very patient and accommodating of the request of each person in the group. As someone who has been dealing with tour guides in different countries, Jon can easily make my top 3 list of effective, impeccable customer service and informative tour guides. I am actually inspired to try more outdoor hobbies. Great thanks to this Company. Will definitely recommend this Company to our friends at this side of the planet.
- 7 Day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Camping Tour
"Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon all in one trip, you can't go wrong, each place has so many unique things to see. My favorite thing was the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, you get to see the South and North Rim and you just cannot imagine the beauty, it was an emotional and spiritual experience. Vern was our Expert Team Leader and we all found him to be Intriguing, Engaging, Larger than Life and so much Fun. I would love to take another journey with him. No one was left behind and I believe our experienced hikers were challenged. Our group was Amazing. You get to take a slice of each park with you and will have you yearning for more. My husband and 11 year old son have memories they will never forget. I was skeptical about camping but it was so much fun, and the food was delicious, Vern was an excellent cook as well. Still amazed at how smooth and organized everything was. Miles was new and was a great help with everything. Don't forget to bring a rain coat/rain cover, we did get weather but we all were prepared.A must see for all lovers of nature, can't stop thinking about this trip. My least favorite thing was leaving.
- Wild West – 5 days
Overall, we had a great experience. This was our first bus tour, and our main tour guide, Roberto, was wonderful! He was very communicative and helpful. He fully explained where we were going and what we were doing and answered any and all questions, and it was interesting to see him switch so effortlessly between Italian and English. He deserves a raise for his five-star service. However, the other tour guides we interacted with on the last day seemed the complete opposite due to their incredibly non-upfront communications skills. For example, when we left the hotel to head back to LA, we were not told how long the trip was going to take, if and when we were going to stop, just nothing; they made me wonder what sort of criteria you have to meet to be a tour guide. Also, one made some slightly racist comments, which if you are dealing with an international clientele, I feel like you should learn to be more neutral in your interactions with others. It took some adjusting having to be on such a strict schedule. Some places you stopped hours at; some maybe 20 minutes. One time our bus's AC didn't work, so given the heat wave, you can imagine what that felt like. But generally it felt like being on a passenger on a road trip. If you want to see a lot in a compressed amount of time and don't mind not being so in control of planning or on a full bus, this tour is worth giving a shot. It definitely was a memorable adventure.
