- Day 1
San Francisco
You'll start with a bay cruise from San Francisco, getting views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island as you head toward Sausalito. After returning to Pier 39, grab lunch there before spending the afternoon walking through some of the city's main spots like Union Square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill. The day wraps up with night views from the Bay Bridge.

In winter, you'll check out Monterey's wharf and Cannery Row, then move on to Carmel-by-the-Sea for browsing through galleries and local shops. From there, drive Route 1 along the coast before reaching Stevenson Ranch. During summer months, the route heads east through farm country to Yosemite National Park instead, where you can see El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls (2,395 feet), one of North America's tallest waterfalls.

Stevenson Ranch to Las Vegas
The route takes you east through desert terrain and Death Valley toward Las Vegas. You'll stop for lunch at the Barstow outlet mall, which has most major brand names. By evening, you'll tour the Las Vegas Strip to see well-known hotels and casinos including Caesar's Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, and Treasure Island.

Las Vegas and Hoover Dam
After a relaxed breakfast, you'll head to the Hoover Dam to learn about how it was built and what it means for the region. Later in the day you'll return to Las Vegas where you have free time to explore shops, restaurants, attractions, or catch a show if something interests you.

Las Vegas to Sedona to Page
You'll travel across the Mojave Desert and climb the Colorado Plateau using historic Route 66 to reach Sedona, which sits in the heart of the desert landscape. The drive takes you through Oak Creek Canyon, dropping about 2,000 feet (610 meters) along the way with several scenic stops and Slide Rock State Park included. After lunch to browse Indian arts, crafts, and galleries in the area, you'll visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross for views of the red rock formations like Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Cathedral Rock before heading to Page.

Monument Valley and Horseshoe Bend
You're heading into Monument Valley, one of the most recognizable landscapes of the American West located deep in the Navajo Nation. Massive sandstone formations rise between 400 and 1,000 feet (up to 300 meters) throughout the area. A Navajo guide will lead a jeep tour through the valley, and you'll understand why locals describe it as 'like no other place on earth'. Later, you'll stop at Horseshoe Bend along the Colorado River for views of the canyon.

Antelope Canyon - Valley of Fire - Las Vegas
The day starts at Lower Antelope Canyon where Navajo folklore says 'water runs through the rocks'. You'll see wind-carved dunes and colorful sand patterns throughout this section. Then you'll drive back toward Las Vegas, stopping along the way at Valley of Fire to see red sandstone formations shaped over 150 million years. If weather cooperates, the sun reflecting off these formations creates an 'on fire' appearance across the valley.
