What people love about Turkey Tours in February
- Wonders of Turkey (Classic, Winter)
April 2011 we left to venture over to Europe for the first time as had only done a lot of Asian countries. Our departure for this time of year was to experience the Anzac Day Memorial. We had such a great tour leader Mehmet who was like a Historian. Polite and courteous man who went out of his way especially on our Anzac Eve day as getting around to visit the sites was very difficult as the Security was set up for that night but we managed to see as much as possible. One day I will return on a time of Non Anzac date to see it all properly in the quiet and serene surroundings as it should be. Our tour was nearly 2 weeks long and we got to visit a lot of the Turkish countryside. We loved the Old Istanbul on the Grand Bazzar side. We got through the cold weather at that time of year but to experience Anzac Memorial was a lifetime experience and all Australians should put it in their Bucket List. Some hiccups with the accomodation on Anzac Eve but now we look back and laugh but I hope Insight do improve or have improved their bookings for accommodation on this very hectic time of the year - Anzac Day. Everything was worth the visiting and good memories to treasure.
- Absolute Turkey: Winter
This was my first visit to Turkiye and not usually travelling with a group I thought I would find it challenging. But our CEO Ibrahim immediately made us feel comfortable and was always willing and able to answer any questions, thoughts etc even if it had nothing to do with the days activities ? Thanks Ibo ? I found the tour had an excellent balance of free time, guided time and travel time showing us the main places of interest and certainly making me want to go back for more.
- Best of Turkey (Winter)
Turkey is AMAZING! The itinerary was great and hit ALMOST everything i wanted to see. Every day was an adventure. The tour guide, Altay, was an archaeologist so we got really in-depth information at sites like Troy and Ephesis. A lot of meals were built in which was cost-effective and convenient. But there was very little free, unstructured time and strict schedule. In the future i will likely keep such structured tours to 10 days or less, but this is a great way to have a no-stress vacay and get a thorough sampling of locations to return to later.
