What people love about Turkey Tours in April
- Premium Turkey in Depth
This trip has totally exceeded my expectations. This has been mainly due to Ugur our tour leader who was also our guide. His leadership and knowledge has been extraordinary and we had an absolute ball. We learned so much about Turkey, its history, its people and culture including its delicious cuisine. The ancient places we visited and and the history of them was passed on to us by Ugur in an easy to understand way that encouraged us to find out more and ask questions. The accommodation was mainly in the old town, close to the sights and of exceptional quality. Another highlight was our day boat trip to the Kekova Sunken City that provided us with the opportunity to relax and have a swim in the turquoise water. All in all a great trip that gives you an exceptional advertiser for going and see more of Turkey.

Alkan was a great tour guide. We got on really well and the way he treats everyone shows he cares about each individual. The tour itself is very enjoyable. You spend a long time traveling in the bus but that's only due to the long distances you have to cover. Because of this some sites felt slightly rushed but nothing that I felt I must see but didn't. The hotels range in quality which works out well because the lower grade ones are in places where it's not that important. I hope future tours always go to the same hotel in Cappadocia (Sobek Stone House). It's hands down the best hotel in the city. I got lucky and had a view overlooking the pool. That meant in the morning when the balloons are taking off, I only had to open my window. But you'll have incredible views of them anywhere in the hotel and you can always go on the roof to watch them. I wasn't fond of the breakfasts but that didn't matter much since we made frequent stops. Overall, it was exactly what I expected out of this tour and I am glad I went.
- 10 Days Wonders of Turkey
The destinations were all interesting, ground and air transportation itself were good but the organization could be a lot better, the guides and hotel rooms and hotels were hit or miss. For example, on our second day in Instanbul the day we fly out for Izmir, the guide was two hours late for a 9am meeting time. He was super frazzled and he lost half of the group once. The first time he was about to lose the crowd, I yelled for him to stop. We then had to rush to the airport in a panic and traffic was like nothing any of us had seen before. For our flight to Antalya, we were dropped off 4 hours early at the Izmir airport. We arrived at the hotel well past midnight and skipping the tour to sleep in and enjoy Antalya on my own was the best decision I made to reset for Cappodocia as the Hot Air Balloon Ride pick up was at 4:45am. Yesra in Kusadasi was an incredible guide and the first guide in Istanbul for the Mosque tour was also good. I skipped Antalya so I can't comment on him. Book your own Hot Air Balloon Ride early as they all offer a full refund if the ride is cancelled due to weather conditions. The tour operator tells you he can't book until the finish line for weather reasons but it's all to try to sell you on inflated pricing. He lied to us and told us the group we had already met didn't fly on a given day when we have pictures from them flying with a Balloon Company they found on their own. Balloon Companies in Cappadocia are everywhere and they all offer hotel pick up.
