What people love about Family Tours from Tashkent to Tashkent
- On the Footsteps of the Silk Road
The tour was organised well. It was not like many tours that are jammed packed. There was a chance to rest in the afternoon. It was the only tour group that allowed children under 12. The accommodation was good as were the meals. This tour group tends to book the more expensive hotels and restaurants. The only complaint was that our tour guide abruptly left for 1.5 days. We lost most of one day travelling and then waited 5 hours for another guide to come to our hotel to continue the tour. He took us to dinner and then left. The travelling part was fine, but $400/day and not doing anything was not what we expected.
- Uzbekistan Cultural Tour (Tashkent to Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva) boutique hotels option

I wish to express my gratitude to Global Connect for makung our trip to Uzbekistan one of our best trips ever. Absolutely the best tour operator I have ever had in all my years of traveling around the world.
What our customers ask about Family Tours from Tashkent to Tashkent
What are the main cities covered on a Tashkent round trip?
Your journey takes you through Uzbekistan's most fascinating Silk Road cities. You'll explore Samarkand and its famous Registan Square, walk through Bukhara's atmospheric old town with the ancient Ark Fortress, and wander the narrow streets of Khiva's walled city Itchan Kala. Some tours also take you to places fewer travelers see, like Termez with its Buddhist ruins or Shahrisabz where you can discover Timurid architecture. One traveler shared: "From the bustling Chorsu Bazaar in Tashkent to the magnificent Registan in Samarkand, each city offered incredible architectural and cultural experiences."
Which historical sites do most tours visit?
You'll visit several UNESCO sites that tell the story of Uzbekistan's rich past. In Samarkand, you'll see the grand Registan Square, the towering Bibi-Khanum Mosque, and the beautiful Shah-i-Zinda tombs. Bukhara offers the Poi-Kalon complex and its historic trading domes, while in Khiva you can explore the old city of Ichon-Qala. According to one traveler: "The magnificent architecture of Registan Square and the ancient bazaars of Bukhara were absolutely breathtaking and exceeded all expectations."
How do you travel between cities on these tours?
You'll ride modern high-speed Afrosiyob trains for longer distances - it's just 4 hours from Tashkent to Bukhara and 2 hours from Samarkand to Tashkent. For shorter trips and city tours, you'll travel in comfortable vehicles like the Hyundai Grand Starex or Toyota Hiace with air conditioning. As one traveler put it: "The combination of comfortable high-speed trains and private vehicles made traveling between cities very convenient and enjoyable."
What kind of hotels can I expect?
You'll stay in 3-4 star hotels right in the city centers, close to the main sights. In Tashkent, this might be the Art Residence or Stars Plaza Hotel, while in Bukhara you could stay at the Dendi Plaza or Nodirabegim Boutique Hotel. One traveler noted: "The hotels were all centrally located, making it easy to explore the historical sites and local markets independently during free time."
How long are these tours usually?
Most tours run between 5 and 14 days, with many people choosing 7-8 day trips. The Cultural Tour packs the main sights into 6 days, focusing on Bukhara and Samarkand. If you want to see more, the Crossroads of Caravan Routes takes 14 days and includes off-the-beaten-path spots like Termez and Mitan village. One traveler mentioned: "We had an absolutely amazing experience exploring multiple cities over 8 days, with each destination offering unique historical and cultural experiences."
Which places will I visit between Tashkent and Tashkent?
Your trip connects Uzbekistan's three most important Silk Road cities - Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Starting and ending in Tashkent, you'll visit UNESCO sites like Samarkand's Registan Square and Khiva's Itchan Kala. One traveler said: "the guides were excellent at showcasing the architectural drama from the Ark Fortress in Bukhara to the stunning Tilla-Kari Madrasa in Samarkand."
