The trip was very well planned to the smallest detail. Tasmania itself was beyond expectation. I cannot wait to come back. Just one small thing. The tour buses were sometimes tiny and old. Also at least one of the tour guides was talking incessantly for about 10hrs solid. He was a walking encyclopaedia, but sometimes, less is more. But the star of the show was Eli herself, the first face of contact.

We had a good reason to do something very special to celebrate our 42nd weeding anniversary. Before going to Tasmania, we did make a deep research among the different agencies providing different guided tours there. We took the Ultimate Tasmania 10 day tour with Under Down Under, a local travel agency, starting on March 31st and ending on April 10th, 2025 Definitely one of the best investments we have made in terms of traveling. The experience and the vision of Down Under Down in designing the route is amazing. It was basically a non stop enjoyment experience, organized in such a way to optimize the time and locations each and every day. Our guide, Tim Keith, with his great service attitude, his expertise and his constantly shared wide knowledge was for sure the most valued characteristic of our experience. As a resume, due to the quality of this trip with Under Down Under, we end up with a very enjoyable experience and a very valued knowledge of the history, culture and very interesting sites of this dramatic and beautiful corner of the world, plenty of stunning landscapes, great food and great walks as well. I took a 6-day wilderness tour with a guide in Tasmania and I must say that it was one of the unforgettable experiences of my life. An excellently chosen route that provided activities of various types and levels, an excellent guide Brandon, who was able to accurately assess moods and levels of fatigue. Moreover, he was extremely pleasant and funny, always smiling. And last but not least, I was lucky to have people in the group who, although they were of different ages and nationalities, always helped me and created a close, almost family atmosphere. I was really sad when the trip ended. Tasmania is such a beautiful country, but we should always be respectful of its culture.
