Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart to Strahan
You'll get picked up from Hobart at 7:30 AM and head west into Tasmania's wilderness. This day covers three national parks back to back: Mount Field where you'll see Russell Falls and rainforest, Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair with its deep freshwater lake, and Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers featuring button grass plains and ancient forest. There's a stop in Queenstown to learn about the region's mining past, and you'll end up in Strahan by evening, a small harbourside village where you're staying the night.

- Day 2
Strahan
This is your choice day along the remote West Coast. You can either take a guided walk through rainforest out to Henty Sand Dunes, or skip that and join an optional Gordon River Cruise to see Macquarie Harbour and the historic Sarah Island penal site deep in the World Heritage Area. After sorting that out, you'll head to Ocean Beach, which is Tasmania's longest stretch of sand, and spend time taking in the Southern Ocean views from there.

Strahan to Launceston
You're heading into Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park today. At Ronny Creek you'll watch for wombats hanging out in the alpine meadows. Then you get to pick your walk: either tackle the steep route up to Marion's Lookout for panoramic views, or do the easier six-kilometre loop around Dove Lake with the tall peaks as your backdrop. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive through Sheffield (it's got murals all over the place) and finish up in Launceston where you'll spend the night.

Launceston to Bicheno
Start outside central Launceston at Cataract Gorge where there are scenic trails and you can spot wildlife. From there you'll head east toward the coast, stopping in St Helens, a fishing town, for lunch. Then you'll make your way to Bay of Fires (Larapuna) to walk along brilliant white sand and turquoise water, and the guides will share the cultural importance this place holds for the Palawa people. You'll end the day in Bicheno, a relaxed seaside town, where little penguins come ashore at dusk.

Bicheno to Hobart
You're at Freycinet National Park, one of Tasmania's most well-known landscapes. Climb up 1000 steps to reach Wineglass Bay Lookout for views over white sand and turquoise water. From there you can choose to head down to the beach itself, tackle the steep climb up Mt Amos for peninsula views, or just relax at Honeymoon Bay surrounded by pink granite peaks. You'll also stop at Cape Tourville Lighthouse for Tasman Sea views before driving back to Hobart along the scenic Great Eastern Drive.

Hobart
This wraps up your trip with Bonorong Wildlife Conservation Sanctuary where you'll see native species and Tasmanian devils. Next you'll check out Richmond, a historic village with remarkably preserved colonial buildings. After that, you'll pass through Coal River Valley and into Wellington Park (Kunanyi in Palawa language) where guides take you through lush fern gullies, tall eucalypts, striking rock columns, and boulder fields. From there it's back to Hobart with drop-off around 5:30 PM.
