- Day 1
Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart this afternoon and get straight into exploring Tasmania's capital. Start at Mt. Nelson where the views spread out across the city and harbor below. From there, head to Battery Point to walk through the Georgian cottages, then check out historic Salamanca Place with its old colonial architecture. Stop by Constitution Dock to watch the fishing boats come and go. You'll finish the day strolling through the Royal Botanical Gardens before meeting your Travel Director for dinner.

- Day 2
Strahan
Early on you're heading into Western Tasmania's wilderness to Mount Field National Park, which is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. You'll walk through towering eucalypts to reach Russell Falls, experiencing the rainforest up close. Later that day, you'll see Lake St. Clair, Australia's deepest freshwater lake, before arriving in Strahan. This town serves as your gateway to Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

Cradle Mountain
You're cruising the Gordon River's dark waters to Sarah Island where you'll explore convict history and heritage sites, including 2,000-year-old Huon pine trees. During the cruise, you'll drift past the dramatic Hells Gates entrance to the harbor. After that, you'll head north toward Cradle Mountain for the evening, driving through some really striking landscape.

Cradle Mountain
Today takes you up to 1,545-metre Cradle Mountain to see the full view of Dove Lake surrounded by wild alpine moorlands. You'll join a day keeper tour at Devils @ Cradle sanctuary to learn how Tasmanian Devils are being protected and bred. By evening, you're driving toward the scenic northwest coast, so you'll leave the mountains behind and head into different terrain.

Wynyard - Northwest Coast
You'll drive to Table Cape's summit, a 180-metre volcanic remnant that's 12 million years old with coastal views reaching up to 175 kilometres. Next, you'll wander through Penguin town with its penguin sculptures, then check out Sheffield, known as The Town of Murals. By lunch time, you'll stop at Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm to taste award-winning local cheeses and ice cream.

Launceston
You're traveling to Launceston where nature is really close to the city. Cataract Gorge is your main stop, a scenic chasm with bushland and Victorian gardens lining it. You can ride the scenic chairlift for different perspectives, or if you prefer, there are optional river cruises available to explore at your own pace.

Bicheno
This morning you'll visit Bridestowe Lavender Farm with its enormous lavender fields (blooms happen late spring through early summer). Then you'll see the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees which are sculpted as World War One soldiers. Later you're heading to Bicheno where you have the option to go penguin spotting as little penguins return to shore after dark.

You'll experience Freycinet Peninsula and its national park, seeing the vivid colors and pink granite cliffs that frame Coles Bay. From there, you'll head to Richmond to walk through grand 1820s Georgian buildings, boutiques and galleries. By evening, you're at the Derwent River shores where local palawa welcome you and share bush tucker experiences.

Dinner is at a historic waterfront pub, so you'll end the day reflecting on what you've learned.
