What people love about Coach / Bus Tours in East Coast USA
- Colours of New England
This was a terrific tour and I recommend it to everyone! The tour guide, Susanne was very knowledgeable and has a very dry wit (listen closely or you'll miss, and it's great!). Every place on the tour was a perfect example of any-and-every thing you would expect to see in New England. Expect to wake up early, see a lot and be home by sundown. Some of our fellow tourists chose to arrive a few days early, to see more of Boston (you only spend a day there, at the end) and I wish I had done that. Also, there is an extended 3-day tour of New York City, if you wish to add that onto your tour. If you have never been to NY, then I would recommend adding it. Thanks, AmericanTours International! P.S, "Good Morning, Dave!" (we love you)
- Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Philadelphia & Amish Country 4D/3N (from New York)
Beautiful combination of both natural beauty and marvelous man-made structures. Bamba arranged great hotels for us to stay with customization on the meals (mainly breakfast) provided to us.The tour guide had a good sense of humor and was very detailed in his understanding of each and every sight we visited. The trip to Niagara falls was the highlight the Bamba experience and the tour guide made sure we have a wonderful experience. All in all it was a great tour.
- Autumn Colours
Nice bus with a very capable driver, very good travel destinations, great director that knew how to get his travelers engaged, very personable health advisor, and rotating seat everyday help learn and enjoy other people on this trip.

Stops in Boston focus on historic sites along the Freedom Trail and the busy Faneuil Hall marketplace. In New York City the routes include essential landmarks like Times Square Central Park and the Statue of Liberty. Washington DC portions showcase the city's political center with views of the White House Capitol Building and time at the Lincoln Memorial. Routes often incorporate natural and cultural stops such as Cape Cod's Nubble Lighthouse and Pennsylvania's Amish farmlands. Most tours arrange stays at well-located hotels including places like the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston in Washington DC. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The places we visited were all well thought out and the accommodations were excellent."
What's the typical daily schedule like on a coach tour in East Coast USA?
Days begin between 7-8am with tours balancing travel time and meaningful stops. A typical day between Boston and Washington DC includes 3-4 hours of coach travel broken up by extended visits to notable sites. Stops range from Philadelphia's Liberty Bell to NYC landmarks with 1-2 hours at each location. Tours reach hotels like the Holiday Inn Boston-Cambridge Area or Capital Hilton DC by early evening around 5-6pm allowing time for independent exploration or optional activities. How do bus tours in East Coast USA accommodate stops for sightseeing and relaxation?
The routes include regular stops every few hours combining essential breaks with photo opportunities and guided visits. Major sites such as Newport's Breakers Mansion or Mount Vernon receive up to 2-hour visits. Lunch breaks last about an hour often in scenic spots like Maine's Kennebunkport or Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Many itineraries include multi-night stays in key cities at properties like DC's Capital Hilton reducing daily travel. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The pace was perfect with regular breaks. We never felt rushed and had time to really enjoy each stop."
What unique scenic experiences can travelers enjoy from the comfort of a bus tour in East Coast USA?
The routes offer different views each season from New Hampshire's colorful Kancamagus Highway in autumn to Maine's coastal vistas near Portland Head Light. Passengers get elevated views of urban landscapes when entering cities like Manhattan and Boston plus scenes of Pennsylvania's Amish farmlands. Tours often time drives to catch optimal lighting conditions like sunset on Cape Cod or early morning at Niagara Falls. Most coaches come equipped with large windows for clear views. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The panoramic windows gave us amazing views along the coast and through the mountains. Our guide pointed out things we would have missed on our own."

A TourRadar reviewer noted: "Our tour had the perfect mix - mornings with guided tours then afternoons and evenings free to discover places on our own especially in cities like Boston and Washington DC where you really want that flexibility to explore."
