Itinerary
- Day 1
Rome
You'll touch down in Rome and have the day to yourself until the 6 pm welcome meeting. If your flight gets in early, the Colosseum and Roman Forum are right there waiting for you, and Piazza Navona's worth a wander too. Grab an espresso at one of those streetside cafés, try some gelato around Trastevere, and if you're feeling lucky, drop a coin in Trevi Fountain. Then head to dinner with your group to start meeting everyone.

Rome to Naples - Pompeii
The train carries you south to Naples, a city that's been shaped by centuries of different rulers. Your guide walks the group through the historic center and Spanish Quarter, then you'll taste authentic Neapolitan pizza (it's literally where pizza was invented). You'll also participate in caffe sospeso, the local tradition of buying someone else's coffee. After that, another train ride takes you to Pompeii where you'll settle into your accommodation near the archaeological site.

Landmarks Spanish Quarter, Naples - Day 3
Pompeii
Start with Italian coffee and people-watching in Pompeii's Old Town square. The main event is a guided walk through the ancient ruins, which got frozen in place when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. You'll see beautifully preserved villas, temples, theaters, and markets that show how Romans actually lived 2,000 years ago. The afternoon's yours to relax or, if you're up for it, check out nearby Herculaneum.

- Day 4
Mt Vesuvius - Sorrento
A private transfer takes you up to Mount Vesuvius where a local volcanology guide meets you. You'll hike to the summit to take in 360-degree views of the Bay of Naples and look down into the crater (it's still active, though the last eruption was back in 1944). Later, the same vehicle brings you to Sorrento, a resort town with nice piazzas, winding streets, and lemon groves everywhere. Finish with a limoncello tasting.

Sorrento
Sorrento's yours to explore today. Stroll the marina, take a swim at the small beaches, or hop on a hydrofoil to Capri and see the natural grottoes, white villages, and citrus orchards. While in Capri, a boat trip to the Blue Grotto is worth it for that brilliant blue water. Back in Sorrento, the group comes together for a gelato-making demonstration to end the day Italian style.

- Day 6
Amalfi Coast
A private vehicle takes you to the Amalfi Coast with its dramatic rocky cliffs, clifftop villages, bright blue water, and terraced olive groves. You can take a relaxing walk through Amalfi town and check out the cathedral and cloisters, explore the Valley of Mills, or catch a bus up to Ravello in the hills. You'll stay tonight in quieter Minori, just 15 minutes by included bus from Amalfi and a short walk from the beach.

Positano - Amalfi Coast
A short bus gets you to Amalfi town, then you're on the famous Sentiero Degli Dei (Path of the Gods), an old narrow trail farmers and mules once used. This half-day hike takes you through forests, wildflower fields, olive groves, and vineyards with unrivalled coastal views the whole way, plus you'll spot ancient stone huts and goats on the granite cliffs. The trail ends in Positano where there's time to explore and swim before you take the ferry and bus back to Minori. Later, everyone gathers for a final celebratory dinner.
