What people love about Sailing Tours in Croatian Islands
- Croatia Sailing Adventure: Dubrovnik to Split
The guide/skipper was great. Informative about where we were going and the plans for each day. All dinner restaurants he took us to, were amazing!! The group was much older than I expected, wanted to travel and meet younger travellers. Price was worth the value of the trip.

GAdventures with Niko from beautiful Dubrovnik to incredible Split Aust 2015. Niko was welcoming ; he sorted out one client's problem on arrival when he thought he'd booked a racing sailing trip, rather than a sailing jaunt for non sailors. Niko calmly arranged for this dissatisfied man to get another trip without us realising the drama. He guided us learners on the high seas, took us to great local restaurants , even arranged an engagement cake when 2guys announced their engagement on the boat. Niko went out of his way to get me to a hospital in Korcula when I was sick with infection and we were able to sail off again in time. He was a gentle informative authentic guy who made the trip fun and amazing! Thanks Niko!
- Sailing Split - 8 days
My tour with On The Go Sailing Split was pretty close to perfect. The crew on board the boat were friendly and obliging, the Maitre-D and Barman Milan went out of his way to be of service. Breakfast and Lunch were always served on time, with a generous serving of different meals over the seven days. My fellow passengers were easy to spend time with on board the boat and whilst on the islands, having dinner and shopping. The Tour Guide David was also easy to get along with and gave us a description of each day's activities during breakfast. The cabins on the boat were comfortable and clean.
What our customers ask about Sailing Tours & Trips in Croatian Islands
What is the best time of year to go sailing in the Croatian Islands?
The Croatian Islands welcome sailors from June to September with July and August drawing the largest crowds. For a more relaxed experience June and September offer comfortable temperatures around 25°C with fewer tourists. The weather during these months creates ideal sailing conditions between Split and Dubrovnik. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The weather was absolutely incredible & was so lucky to have perfect conditions. Spent so much time chilling on the sun deck" from their experience on an 8-day Croatia sail adventure.
What are the must-visit stops on a Croatian Islands sailing tour?
Each major port along Croatia's coast offers distinct experiences. Hvar draws visitors to its hilltop fortress and lively bars while Mljet National Park provides peaceful saltwater lakes for swimming. The medieval streets of Korčula showcase Marco Polo's birthplace and Dubrovnik's famous walls tell stories of centuries past. Most routes include stops at Brač Island's Golden Horn beach the Blue Cave on Biševo and either Split's ancient Diocletian's Palace or Dubrovnik where the Hotel Excelsior provides luxury accommodations. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The islands that we visited were diverse and interesting and exceeded our expectations - from the peaceful island of Mljet to the jet-set atmosphere of Hvar."
