- RSRobert· January 4th, 2025Three warnings about booking with Med Sailing 1. Beware of themed weeks such as fitness and yoga week – those weeks are bookings by another travel group. Med Sail does not disclose that these weeks are “collaborated with another travel agency.” You could get stuck being the lone outsider with a non-inclusive group from India or somewhere, like I was. 2. Don’t expect to sail – for the entire 7 days we didn’t. Except for 30 minutes for a professional videographer to make a commercial for Med Sail! The rest of the time we ran on diesel the whole trip. Other boats around us were sailing. I heard, “there’s not enough wind, it’s raining, the wind is in the wrong direction, we have a schedule to keep, we don’t have that far to go.” What is the point if you don’t sail! I didn’t sign up to motorboat around Croatia. 3. Don’t take your issues to the owner, Geoff – he doesn’t care. If you have a problem, such as #1 above – getting stuck on an undisclosed group booking – don’t bother emailing Med Sail owner who is defensive and blames you for your age or nationality or something. If you doubt my words, I have his aggressive emails to publish to the world. Roger has a more sympathetic ear.Show more

Yes, we do have an available trip on 24 August 2024 Split to Dubrovnik itinerary for 2 pax. The price is €1,590 per person. Our daily activities include swimming, snorkeling, scuba or free diving, and paddle boarding. There will be biking on one of the days included on the itinerary.

Asked on June 7th, 2022I saw another package that's on offer for the same duration, looks like a very similar itinerary but it seems to be run by G adventures and the cost is discounted to 2000 per person for the 8 days. Would you be able to explain the difference between your tour offering and that?

- G Adventures is another company and set their own prices. - If they have discounted their to €2,000 per person, ours is set at €1,490 per person. Ours is clearly cheaper by 25% even after discounting. - I don't know why theirs is so expensive, because they don't add a host to their boat, where as we do. The host prepares the breakfast and lunch, does the provisioning and helps to keep the boat tidy, where I think you do this yourself of their trips. - Our boats have AC, where I would be very surprised if theirs does, as this is rare and we just upgraded our boats this year.

It is a good idea to carry cash as some of the islands/bays you will be entering are generally small towns that may not have the convenience of an ATM nearby, so it’s always a good idea to have cash (local currency) with you at all times.
