I had a truly amazing time during the Pride Sailing Holiday. Being on such a small boat, I was aware that the whole experience would partially be dependent on the other guests and I must say I was very lucky to have great companions. But the crews, Stefan and Oana, were the absolute stars of the trip and assets to the company. Stefan the skipper was very professional and serious at his tasks but at the same time he surely knows how to have fun! He brought everyone together and everybody loved him. Oana, the host is such an amazing cook. All her food literally made the difference on the daily living in the boat - that sometimes could feel like camping - the meals really elevated the whole experience. She also shared great recommendations for dinner places at every stop. It was an unforgettable experience!

I'm interested to book my first ever sailing trip - let alone gay sailing trip! However I do have some questions: - As mentioned I have no experience on a sailboat before, would this be a problem? - I will be joining on my own, do I understand correctly that it mean I'll be sharing a cabin/ a bed with another person? - Finally, what is the usual age range of the participants?

Not at all, we have a captain on the boat and host to do the sailing. You can sit back and relax, or help if you like. That's right. You either have the option of a cabin share, or booking a private cabin. We only have 1 place remaining on this date, so that would be a cabin share. Typical age range is 35-50. We don't have the crew list (passport info) for the guests yet, so we don't know their ages.

Are the other 6 guests part of a group now? Do you usually have also solo travelers joining the group?

    • Med Sailing HolidaysOperatorWritten April 2025

The other solo guests hasn't paid their deposit, so at this point we'll consider them to have cancelled. At this point, that means that you've got the cabin to yourself, that is until we have another solo booking request. This week we have a group of 4 friends and a couple. Yes, we always have a mixed boat, that's what happens with a cabin charter. It's very rare to have 8 x solo guests, we always have a blend.

    • Med Sailing HolidaysOperatorWritten July 2023

you can come as you are. But as for people getting physical with one another, we can't speak for our guests. But we usually don't advertise it. What happens, happens. All we provide is a great sailing holiday experience.

Do we need to carry cash on the boats?

    Other
    • Med Sailing HolidaysOperatorWritten February 2019

It is a good idea to carry cash as some of the islands/bays you will be entering are generally small towns that may not have the convenience of an ATM nearby, so it’s always a good idea to have cash (local currency) with you at all times.
