- Glimpses of Nepal and Tibet Tour 14 Days
Absolutely loved the Glimpse of Nepal and Tibet Tour with Peregrine Treks! The tour was exceptionally well-planned and executed, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. However, it's worth mentioning that some of our co-travelers were complaining about the situation with the Tibet visa delay. It's essential to clarify that this delay was entirely beyond the control of Peregrine Treks. The Chinese Embassy's processing time caused the delay, not our tour operator. Despite this unforeseen circumstance, Peregrine Treks handled the situation with utmost professionalism and communicated effectively with all travelers. Due to the visa delay, we spent an additional 5 nights in Pokhara, which turned out to be an unexpected delight. We spent 5 delightful nights in Pokhara, enjoying sightseeing and short hikes that left us with unforgettable memories. The team at the company was extremely professional, handling all arrangements efficiently despite the short notice. Pradip, deserves special praise for his exceptional customer service. He skillfully managed the complaints from some of our fellow travelers, helping them understand the actual situation. Pradip's patience, understanding, and willingness to go the extra mile were commendable. He even provided free massage services and arranged return flight tickets without any extra cost to ease the inconvenience caused by the visa delay. In conclusion, despite the visa challenge, the Glimpse of Nepal and Tibet Tour was an incredible adventure, thanks to Peregrine Treks' professional arrangements and Pradip's outstanding efforts. We highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking a well-organized and memorable experience in Nepal and Tibet!
- Forbidden Lhasa and Everest Base Camp - 9 Days
everything about this tour was more than we could have hoped for. From the moment we were met at Kathmandu airport by Mr. Rana we were completely taken care of. Our permit for Tibet was ready the three days later needed by the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu. We were transferred for our flight to Lhasa and met at hotel in KTM upon our overland return from Tibet. The tour of TIbet with driver and guide followed faithfully our itinerary, the highlight of course being an unobstructed sunrise of the north face of Everest. Our guide was very solicitous of us all the way, always being sure the altitude was OK for us. Both he and the driver were always on time, we travelled many kms. But not tiring. This was the trip of a lifetime, you indeed feel you are at the top on the world in these beautiful mountain valleys surrounded by unforgettable peaks. Unless you want to include Mount Kailish, this 9 day trip was the perfect amount of time, Staying in Lhasa for three nights helped the acclimatization to the altitude, although Everest Base Camp is a bit of a stretch. But the alternative to staying at a hotel two hours away outweighed the discomfort (we did not take diamox and were OK). Overland to Kathmandu from Tibetan border was an experience, but not to be missed. If I was to decide to do this over again, this would be the itinerary, and Adventure Himalayan Travels out of Kathmandu would be the agent. To start in Lhasa and end in KTM is much the best direction, you need to have a week to acclimatize to 5200 m. At Everest, plus the view is better from the north side. This tour rates 100% for organization, facilitation, and the kindness of the people of Kathmandu and Tibet
