    1. We had just ended the Grand Tour of Thailand 10D where a guide can truly make any tour outstanding; that tour was average. 2. On this 4D tour of Isaan and the Mekong, the guide Nikus redeemed our faith in guided tours. Mr. Nikus was bubbling with knowledge about every site visited, went out of his way to ensure our comfort in hotel room allocated and was patient waiting for us to finish any activity. 3. This tour has a good mix of activities; some good, others not so. The gaudy Mosaic temple has panoramic views; the glass U-bridge overlooks the Mekong River - would people still drive up here for the view if not for the bridge?; nice drive along the Mekong; Ban Chiang museum fascinates with 5000 years of stories - we saw only rural folks visiting, urbanites are probably in the shopping malls. 4. Lunches - the first day was at a roadside makeshift hut, chicken grilled with charcoal smoke. We requested to have lunches at a more hygienic place. Mr Nikus complied with lunches at foodcourts in the Big C where the cost was lower and more varied. 4. Hotels were OK with breakfast. The Chiangkhan river resort with Mekong view is excellent. 5. We would have gone on the other tour of Isaan had it been offered to continue from Udon Thani southwards.

    At the end of the tour, which airport do you transfer people to? Is it Bangkok or somewhere else?

      We end the trip with a drop-off at Udon Thani airport or railway station to continue with your individual travel plans and we recommended departure time from Udon Thani after 19:30 hrs.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
