Itinerary
- Day 1
Tel Aviv/Jerusalem to Amman
You'll cross from Israel into Jordan through the Sheikh Hussein border crossing, then drive toward Jerash to walk through the ancient Roman city. The colonnaded streets and temples here give you a real sense of how this place looked centuries ago. From there, head to Amman for a panoramic tour that includes the Citadel and Roman Amphitheatre, both offering great views over the capital. You'll settle in for the night in Amman.

Amman to Petra
After breakfast, drive to Mount Nebo where you can take in the same views Moses saw across the Jordan Valley, Jericho, and the Dead Sea. Then continue south to Wadi Musa and enter Petra. You'll walk or ride horseback through the Siq canyon, exploring the red rock monuments including the Treasury tomb, field of tombs, obelisks, and the altar carved into the rock face.

Petra to Amman
Following breakfast, head to Wadi Rum for a jeep safari through dramatic rock formations and mountain landscapes, stopping at Lawrence Spring and Khazali Canyon. Later, drive north to Madaba to check out the Byzantine church and its remarkable ancient mosaic floor map that shows the Holy Land and Jerusalem. You'll return to Amman by evening.

Amman to Tel Aviv/Jerusalem
After breakfast, leave your hotel and drive to the Jordan border. Cross the Jordan River and head back to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to finish your trip.
