Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head out to see Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, both impressive colonial-era buildings in the city center. The Reunification Palace comes next before lunch. In the afternoon, a guided tour takes you to the Cu Chi Tunnels where you'll learn about their significance during the Vietnam War. You'll return to Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Hoi An
This full day in Hoi An starts with visiting temples and pagodas that show Chinese and Japanese influences, then you'll check out the Sa Huynh Museum. A boat trip on Thu Bon River takes you to Kim Bong Village where you can see traditional woodworkers and shipbuilders at work. The afternoon is free to wander through Hoi An Ancient Town on your own.

At 8:00 am you'll head toward My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site located about 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Lunch is on your own around 1:00 pm back in Hoi An, then the afternoon is free for shopping or exploring the beautiful lanterns and tailor-made clothing the town is known for.

Hoi An to Hue

Then you'll continue through Hai Van Pass for nice views of Son Tra Peninsula before taking a short break at Lang Co Beach. You'll arrive in Hue in the afternoon to check in and explore the imperial city at your own pace.

The afternoon includes a visit to Thuy Xuan village to see how traditional incense is made, then time browsing Dong Ba market, the largest market in Hue.

Hue to Hanoi
You'll have breakfast at the hotel with free time to explore Hue on your own until it's time for your flight to Hanoi. Once you arrive in Hanoi, your driver transfers you to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is for relaxing and settling in.

Hanoi
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to explore Hanoi. You'll visit Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island in West Lake, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi from the 6th century. Then comes the Ho Chi Minh complex with his residences and garden, the One Pillar Pagoda, and either the Vietnam Ethnology Museum or Women's Museum depending on the day. Lunch is at a local restaurant, then you'll visit the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison. Before the evening transfer to the railway station for your overnight train to Sapa, you'll have some free time.

You'll arrive at Lao Cai Station around 5:30 am, transfer to your hotel, and have breakfast. The tour starts at 9:30 am and heads down to Muong Hoa valley with panoramic views, then through rice fields to Y Linh Ho hamlet where the Black Hmong people live. You'll walk to Lao Chai village, visit local families, and learn about their culture. Lunch happens at a local riverside restaurant. Later you'll continue to Ta Van village of the Giay people, visit families, enjoy green tea, and learn about their traditions. Back in Sapa by late afternoon, the evening is free.

Sapa to Hanoi
After breakfast, you'll trek to Cat Cat Village at the foot of Fansipan Mountain to explore the H'mong village and see traditional clothing making, hemp dyeing, and weaving. Then you'll trek through rice terraces and small dwellings in Muong Hoa Valley for about 3 km to reach Sin Chai village with its traditional wooden homes built from indigenous Pumu trees. Back in Sapa, you'll transfer to the railway station at 3:30 pm for the overnight train back to Hanoi.
