Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and have the rest of the day to yourself until the evening welcome meeting. That's when you'll meet your CEO and the other travelers on the trip. If this is your first time in Cairo, grabbing an airport transfer is a good idea to get to your hotel without the hassle.

Cairo to Aswan
Start the morning at the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx, then head to the Egyptian Museum for a guided tour. Later that evening you'll board an overnight sleeper train heading to Aswan. The cabins have air conditioning and twin beds, with basic meals and a bar car where you can hang out with other travelers.

Aswan
The train pulls into Aswan early (though trains can run late sometimes). You'll have free time to wander the busy souk, take a walk along the Nile, or check out Philae Temple on your own. After that, you'll hop on a boat to a Nile island to visit a Nubian village, walk around, and eat dinner at a local home.

Aswan
Aswan is yours to explore however you want today. If you're interested, there's the option to visit Abu Simbel temple. You could also take a half-day tour covering the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple, or spend time at the modern Nubian Museum learning about the local culture and history.

Aswan to Luxor
After breakfast you'll take a traditional felucca sailboat to Aswan Bridge, then transfer to Kom Ombo to see the temple there. From there you'll head to Luxor. If you feel like it, the local market is open in the evening if you want to check out regional specialties.

Luxor
Following breakfast, you'll head to the West Bank for a guided exploration of the Valley of the Kings with its pharaonic tombs in narrow passages. Then you'll see the Temple of Hatshepsut on the limestone cliffs and the towering 18-meter Colossi of Memnon. You'll have lunch with a local family on the West Bank, then free time in Luxor afterward.

Luxor
After breakfast you'll get a guided tour of Karnak Temple, which was once central to ancient Egypt's religious practices. Then you'll ferry across to the West Bank where a student-guide will take you biking through the village and to the Funtasia Project Center. There you'll learn about the Planeterra project over tea, then have time to explore Luxor's local bazaar.

Luxor
This is your last full day in Luxor to catch anything you might have missed. Browse the bazaar for souvenirs, take an optional visit to Luxor Temple and Museum, or head back to the West Bank if you want to dig deeper into the archaeological sites.

Luxor to Hurghada
You'll drive from Luxor to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is open so you can relax on the white sand beaches and settle in for the next stretch of your trip in this quiet coastal area.

Hurghada
Spend the day on a boat heading out to local islands where you'll snorkel in clear waters surrounded by coral gardens. The Red Sea is known for its incredible snorkeling, and you'll see colorful coral and fish throughout the day underwater.

Hurghada to Alexandria
Catch an early flight from Hurghada back to Cairo, then a private vehicle takes you toward Alexandria. Along the way you'll stop at the monasteries of Wadi Al Natrun, an important religious site. By the time you get to Alexandria, you're in one of the ancient world's biggest trade and cultural centers with Greek, Roman, and Egyptian ruins.

Alexandria
You'll take a guided tour through Alexandria's historical sites including Pompey's Pillar, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the Alexandria Library, and the Citadel of Qaitbay. Later in the day you can optionally visit local cafes or grab some seafood if you're hungry.

Alexandria to Cairo
Driving from Alexandria back toward Cairo, you'll stop at El Alamein to visit World War cemeteries and memorials. You'll learn about the important battles that shifted the war in North Africa, then continue on to Cairo for your final evening.
