I loved this tour, it gave me the opportunity to see a vast portion of the West and the many national parks within. Our tour director and coach driver made the trip comfortable and worry free. My only complaint about the trip was we stayed at a few motels where we were booked into 2nd floor rooms without elevators. Many of the older travelers, including myself struggled to get our luggage up and down the stairs.

We were given so much information ahead of time about the places we were headed. Whether it be a national park, we always had info about where bathrooms, snack bars and/or tshirts were! Stephen McNally did a wonderful job of keeping our schedule and Mark, the driver, was always kind and both were professional at all times! We've been on many cruises where you can see unique sights somewhat at a distance. This trip, in spite of living out of our suitcases, was one for the books that we will never forget! Great organization showed itself over and over during our 13 day trip!

The Canyons,.Parks and towns were great. I chose this tour because of the itinerary. The Coach bus was cramped with seats that were low.. The tour guide was knowledgeable but didn't share the rich and vibrant cultural history of the west. I especially wanted to know more about the Indian culture. When he did talk to us he wasnt always clear, and he was sometimes impatient. Rather than talking to us he played videos. I had seen a lot of videos on TV which is why I took the tour. I wanted to hear the area history from a tour guide, not see a video. We had a great group of people for the most part which made for a fun time. Some hotels could have been better. One had no working elevator and was musty.

It was an enjoyable good for thw value tour. The first night accomodation in Circus Circus was very poor. Other accomations were fair to good. The transportation was good. A little more information about geography and history would be helpful and add to the total experience. All breakfasts and some dinners need to be included to make it hassel free.

    Asked on March 25th, 2023

Day 7 it says there are optional tours to Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons. What events are planned if those options aren't elected? Day 12. Says there is an optional Badlands tour. If not elected, do we only stay at Mt Rushmore all day? Day 13. Last day. I understand we can choose between the last stop being either Denver or Rapid City. If the choice is Denver, it looks to an all day drive vs a much shorter one to Rapid City. I see the expected arrival time for Denver is 5 pm, I do not see an arrival time for Rapid City. Is this nights stay also included in the initial $ charge? Will we need to arrange our own ride to the airport? What are the costs for the optional tours mentioned?

    Tour Details
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten March 2023

The optional experience will be discussed by the travel director on the first day of the tour. If you don't want to attend the optional experience then it will be your free time, but it will still depend on the travel director's decision. Day 7: Grand Tetons National Park Sightseeing - $50.00 per person, Snake River Scenic Float Trip - $100.00 per person, Bar T 5 Covered Wagon Cookout & Show - $71.00 per person.
