- Day 1
Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna and head to your hotel to settle in. Spend some time checking out local cafes known for their coffee and pastries, then meet up with your Travel Director for a welcome drink and dinner with wine at a restaurant in town.

Vienna
A Local Expert takes you on a private tour of Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens, where you'll see gilded Rococo frames, frescoed ceilings and crystal chandeliers. After that, you'll drive around the Ring Road to see the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence, Austrian Parliament Building and Karlskirche.

Vienna to Prague
You cross into the Czech Republic and head to Cesky Krumlov for a brief orientation tour of this medieval town with its colorful houses and views of the Vltava River. There's free time to walk around and explore, then you'll continue through the green Bohemian countryside toward Prague.

Prague
In Prague, you have a choice: visit Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral, or join your Local Expert for a walk through the Jewish Quarter. Either way, you'll head to Old Town Square to see the Astronomical Clock's mechanical glockenspiel display. The afternoon is yours to explore however you'd like.

Prague to Kraków
You'll drive through Czech landscapes and cross into Poland to reach Oswiecim, known by its German name Auschwitz. A guided tour takes you through the Auschwitz memorial and museum, followed by a visit to Birkenau, both bearing witness to the Holocaust.

Kraków
In the morning, you can choose to visit the 600-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mines with unique salt sculptures and a cathedral carved from rock salt, or have leisure time instead. Then a Local Expert guides you through Wawel Hill and cathedral, the Old Town past Pope John Paul II's former residence, Europe's largest town square with the medieval Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica with its famous trumpeter. An evening Dine-Around experience at local restaurants follows.

Kraków to Budapest
You'll travel into the Slovakian region of Orava to see Oravsky Hrad, then drive through the Low Tatra Mountains on your way to Budapest.

Budapest
A Local Expert takes you into Buda's medieval Castle District to visit Matthias Church and see the vista from Fisherman's Bastion. You cross the Danube to Pest, visiting Heroes' Square and driving down elegant Andrassy Boulevard. The Central Market Hall is next, with its food stalls offering salamis, paprika, wines and Palinka. The afternoon is free to relax by the Danube or browse Vaci Street. An evening Celebration Dinner at Gundel restaurant features Hungarian specialties and selected Hungarian wines.

Your trip concludes with breakfast and a transfer to Budapest airport at 07:00. From there you'll continue to Vienna airport, arriving around midday with a final stop at a post-trip hotel.
