- ATAileen· August 11th, 2024I had a different guide in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia which made sense because they hire locals. The groups were quite small and the accommodation was better than I was expecting. All the guides were super helpful. I wish more activities and food were included in the cost of the tour however these countries were relatively cheap if you played your cards right. Would recommend if you want to get a good idea of these countries so you can go back! It’s best to pack clothes that are light weight but appropriate for temples as you will visit A LOT of temples. Bring a bag you are comfortable carrying on your back as this is needed at times and be open to what the group want to do! Had a blast feeding elephants, visiting the white temple, eating as many Bahn Mi’s as possible, crossing the Mekong River and seeing the sun rise over Angkor Wat.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Aileen, thank you for sharing your detailed experience! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our small group sizes, the helpful local leaders, and the accommodations were better than you had expected. Your tips on packing light,... Asked on June 30th, 2023Is it really only available until 29 years old. And if so why.

Asked on June 18th, 2022would I need any visas for these countries or can I get in with a travel visa and will I be the one to sort all that out like I need to book the flights to Bangkok?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written June 2022
Visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. Entry requirements can change at any time. It is important that you check your government's foreign travel advisories along with the consular website of the country or countries you are travelling to for the most up to date information specific to your nationality and circumstances. Thailand visa: If entering by air most nationalities will be granted a 30 day stay on arrival. If entering by a land border, you will be granted a 15 day stay only. Laos visas should be obtained at the border. Vietnam visas most nationalities are required to obtain a tourist visa in advance. Cambodia visas can be obtained via eVisa or on arrival.

Traveler•Written June 2022I am coming from UK so it looks like I can get the Thailand visa on arrival and apply for the Vietnam one easily enough. Still, for the Cambodia one, it asks for the port of arrival and since we go from Vietnam the only listed one is Bavet (Svay Rieng) is that the correct place? Also, could you give a rough estimation of how much each currency to take?

Traveler•Written August 2022I have a question regarding how much money from each currency should i bring roughly?

Asked on June 5th, 2022I am interested in this tour. I was wondering though, by the time I would go, I would be 34. How strict is that age range listed on the trip?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written June 2022
Unfortunately our age policy is strict and we cannot accept anyone about the age of 29 on this tour. Please have a look at our South East Asia Loop tour which is open to all ages.
