- Niall· September 25th, 2019We were generally very happy with our river cruise. We booked the complete tour package ... if we were doing this again we would pick and choose after boarding, Some of the tours were too long - leaving the boat at 1:30 and returning at 6:30. Our room was at the stern of the boat and some nighte it was very noisy (engins and locks). We would have like more complete information in english ... for the most part was OK, but sometimes was limited (especially on some of the excursions). All in all a great experience and satisfied with CroisiEurope.Show moreCroisiEurope River Cruises commented on this reviewDear Mr. Coulson, Thank your for taking the time to share your experience with us. - JTJerry· June 16th, 2019The cruise up the Rhine was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a pleasant trip to sign-up. I also needed occasional assistance with my mobility scooter and everyone was so helpful! Francisco the guide was terrific and the guide we had in Haarlem was great. In fact all the guides we had were great. We met some nice folks while on the ship. Really enjoyed the cruise. Thank you.Show moreCroisiEurope River Cruises commented on this reviewDear Mr. Thomas, Thank you for this review. We are pleased to read you had a great time and a great expercience with the guides. - Francisco· April 19th, 2019Positive: Value for Price Dinner José the pursuer All the crew and service Cleanliness Overall Experience Negative: Excursions cancellations Excursions overall Room space was a bit small Permanent and loud commentaries during navigation (they could use the audioguides instead) Buffet lunches Far away dockings Very poor WiFi Noisy engines We took a 9 days cruise from Amsterdam to Base in CroisiEurope's MS Douce France. We were not limited by price, but the unavailability of cruises from the big ship lines led us to Croisi Europe. And we were very glad that it happened this way. CroisiEurope is clearly family ran, and most of all: they know the Rhein. We were the only Portuguese in the cruise. And to our knowledge, there are seldomly Portuguese in these cruises. But we had the luck that the cruise director, José, was Portuguese. And he was in undoubtedly a very big Plus. Not only for us but for everybody in the cruise. He was nice, attencious, professional, fun and effective. I can also say the best for the rest of the crew, the attendants, and everyone else. Great team. We were clearly the youngest people in the cruise. Almost everybody were couples in their 60-80ies. But we liked as we were 5 and didn't really care about everybody else. The ship was a lot smaller than the regular American lines the cruise the Rhine. It was old but totally refurbished. Didn't have the luxury of the big ones. But it was very good, very comfortable, and we felt enough luxury (and We are used to 5 star hotels) I'd say this ship is equivalent to a good 4 star hotel. The big advantage: you could go to the sun deck every time. It was never closed. And you ended up knowing and talking to all the crew. In a very friendly manner. The proof: In Koblenz, my 26 year old son, went at night, with a sailor to a local bar the serves only the ships. Eventually more crew member showed up. They had fun. We had a very good relationship with all the crew. Dinner was always fantastic, very good cuisine, correct quantity, perfectly served. Chef Numa knows his Haute Cuisine, but stays practic. And always selected local and regional dishes and ingredients, great. The wine was good, if you payed for it. The complimentary one was not so good. But we are very picky about wine. Night entertainment was boring. But we really didn't need it. It was a great thing that we could always go to the bar and ask for drinks. No matter the time. Very good. Pitty that there were no snacks, except peanuts. The only extra I payed in the end, was the wine (and It was not that expensive) The things I really didn't like: The shipped almost always docked far away from the centre of the citties. We had to take the excursions solely to get transported to the centre. And getting there we always saw the otherbig ships docked right in the centre. We felt mistreated. The excursions were a mess. As we were younger we had asked for most of the dynamic options. Tour radar told us that Amsterdam tour by bike was cancelled. When we got to the ship we heard it was not cancelled and thar they never communicated any cancellation of that tour. But as it was the following day, it was not possible to include us anymore. We were very unpleased with that situation and it was right on our arrival. The wine tasting experience in mainz was cancelled, the Rhine falls by boat experience was cancelled. And the guided tours were very poor. We ended up by paying the tours, just to be bused to the city centre or other places, visit on our own, and return back to the bus on the planned time. And we found out that a lot of other people were doing the same. My recommendation to CroisiEurope: dock closer to the centre. Give the option transportation only. Don't cancel the tours. This might also have been affected by tour radar. I found out that tour radar was great in speed and helping us through the choice and reservation of the cruise. But when it came to the excursions reservation, they were confused, slow, unprofessional, messy and wrong! My overall evaluation of the cruise is very positive. Today if I had to choose a Rhine cruise from within all the available offers, I would definitely go with CroisiEurope. And not with one of the big lines.Show moreCroisiEurope River Cruises commented on this reviewDear Mr. Caselli, Many thanks for your detailed review of your trip.
