Sit did everything to accommodate everyone. The second half of the tour was a trek thru the hill tribe communities. This was such an amazing experience with Sot leading the way along with other local guides. It is unlikely that the rafthouse excursion does not have electricity overnight. The trains do usually have electrical sockets but no USB

We can only add pre and post tour accommodation in the hotel that the tour starts and ends in. If you want to travel to the islands at the end of the tour, you would need to arrange this yourself. You can catch flights from Chiang Mai and Bangkok to Koh Samui or Phuket, depending on which islands you plan on visiting (East or West Coast). You can also catch an overnight train and a ferry to them for much cheaper.

We don't arrange a transfer back to Bangkok, this tour ends in Chiang Mai so all travellers make their own way from there, themselves. We check out of the Chiang Mai hotel on Day 10 and the group and tour leader departs separately.

As this tour includes a trek into the Highlands for a few days you can leave your large luggage at the hotel and just take what you need in a backpack for the duration of the trek. Arrival and departure transfer are not included in the cost of the tour but can be added on for an additional fee.
