- HHelen· January 7th, 2019The guide on this tour was a racist who felt it appropriate to voice his views every opportunity he had. This was very upsetting and many travelers complained. When myself and a few others from the trip returned back home, we contacted the company, Trafalgar only to recieve what amounted to a defense of the racist guide. Racism is on the rise in Europe and this company evidently thinks it’s racist views which is shared by its employees is OK. I say stay away from a company like Trafalgar.Show more

On Day 2, Cruise in the Rhineland and on to Cologne. The legend of Loreley kick-starts our morning as we board a leisurely cruise along the mighty Rhine past castles and vineyard-clad hills. We stop to Connect With Locals over a Be My Guest lunch and hear tales of knights and feuding lords and ladies in a 13th-century castle perched high above the Rhine valley. Continuing to the cultural capital of the Rhineland, we view the spectacular Gothic spires of Cologne Cathedral. Spend the rest of the evening exploring the city's great artistic treasures and historic town squares.
