Itinerary
- Day 1Cape Town to OudtshoornYour day starts with a pickup from Cape Town or Stellenbosch between 6 and 8am. From there, you'll drive through mountain passes and farmland along Route 62, which happens to be the longest wine route in the world. Halfway through, you'll stop at a local estate for wine tasting before continuing into the Klein Karoo landscape. By evening, you'll arrive in Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital, and have time to walk around this countryside town on your own. - Meals

- Day 2Oudtshoorn - AddoAfter waking in Oudtshoorn, you head to Cango Caves to explore limestone chambers with stalactites, stalagmites, and Khoikhoi paintings. You can choose between an easy Heritage Tour or a more challenging crawling tour depending on your comfort level. Next, you'll drive through Karoo backroads to a local padstal for lunch featuring South African dishes like bobotie and koeksisters. Later, you continue toward the Addo area, arriving in the evening ready for an early start on tomorrow's safari. - Meals

- Day 3Addo - Jeffreys BayEarly morning takes you on a game drive through Addo National Park while the bush is waking up. You'll search for Big Five animals along with antelope, zebra, and hyena. After the safari, you transition to the coast and head to Jeffreys Bay, South Africa's famous 'Surf City'. There, you can relax at the beach with warmer Indian Ocean waters, visit the surf wear shops, or try surfing at this well-known break. Dinner happens either at your accommodation or at a local seafood restaurant. - Meals

- Day 4Jeffreys Bay - SedgefieldThis day packs in adrenaline activities in the Garden Route. You can face the world's highest bungy jump at Bloukrans Bridge (216m drop) or do waterfall ziplining through Tsitsikamma forest with five slides. If you prefer something calmer, you'll explore the lush Tsitsikamma National Park forests, walk suspension bridges, and spot wildlife. At Knysna Heads, you stop for scenic photos of the lagoon and rocky cliffs. The evening ends at sunset on the sandy shores of Sedgefield or Wilderness for some downtime. - Meals

- Day 5Sedgefield to Cape TownYou travel back toward Cape Town along the N2 national road, passing coastal towns surrounded by forested national parks. In Mossel Bay, you stop for a seaside village visit. If interested, there's an option for a 4x4 safari at Botlierskop private game reserve to search for more Big Five animals. You'll arrive back at your Cape Town or Stellenbosch accommodation around 8 to 10pm, depending on traffic conditions. - Meals

- Day 6Cape Town Winelands TourThis outsourced small group wine tour runs Wednesday through Sunday with pickup from selected Cape Town hotels. Your guide takes you to at least 3 wine estates chosen from options like Dieu Donné, Simonsig, Mitre's Edge, MiddleVlei, or Vergenoegd. You'll have a traditional South African lunch with wine pairings, plus cheese and chocolate wine pairings at a cozy homestead. Some days include a visit to Franschhoek where you can walk through the charming town and have lunch at the culinary capital. Overall, you'll experience 12 or more wine tastings and return to Cape Town by late afternoon. - Meals

- Day 7Cape Point & Penguins TourA small group day tour begins with pickup from your Cape Town accommodation. First, you visit Hout Bay to see the seal colony on Duiker Island by short cruise or explore the colorful harbour market. Then you drive Chapman's Peak road with its 114 bends over 9km, offering dramatic Atlantic views and considered one of the world's most scenic drives. You head to Cape of Good Hope, the southwesterly point of Africa, and climb to the whitewashed lighthouse where you might spot ostriches, baboons, and antelope. After that, you travel to Simon's Town and Boulders Beach to watch African penguins along the boardwalks. The tour returns to Cape Town by late afternoon or early evening. - Meals
