Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
You'll leave Cape Town and drive through the Winelands and Klein Karoo, passing through Cogmanskloof Pass and following Route 62 with stops in small towns along the way. Around midday, stop at Die Krans Estate in Calitzdorp for lunch and wine or juice tasting. By late afternoon you'll reach Buffelsdrift Private Game Lodge near Oudtshoorn for a two-hour game drive where hippos, giraffes, elands, zebras, rhinos, buffalo, and springbok might appear. You'll watch the sun drop at the waterhole before heading to dinner.

Oudtshoorn to Knysna
After breakfast at the lodge, you can choose from several activities including spa treatments, bush safari, elephant experience, lion experience, meerkat safari, or roaming cheetah experience (fees separate). Next, visit an Ostrich Show Farm to see how ostriches develop from egg to adult. Then explore the Cango Caves with their vast caverns and rock formations of dripstones, stalagmites, and stalactites. Later you'll drive through Wilderness to Knysna, giving you time to walk around and check out local craftsmen and arts and crafts shops. Dinner is your choice at restaurants around the Knysna Waterfront.

Knysna
Start with the Knysna Heads where the Indian Ocean flows in and out of the lagoon. From there, head to Tsitsikamma National Park stopping at Plettenberg Bay to look for local dolphins, then continue to Natures Valley where you'll walk a pristine beach and see ancient yellowwood trees. Around lunch you'll have fresh seafood at Plettenberg Bay Beach. Late in the afternoon, return to Knysna with the option to take a lagoon sunset cruise on a luxury yacht or ferry if you want.

Knysna to Struisbaai
After breakfast, drive to Mossel Bay where an optional boat ride to Seal Island lets you see seals, whales, and possibly Great White Sharks. Check out the Diaz Museum and Old Post Office Tree. Lunch is seafood at Mossel Bay Waterfront. Continue onward to Cape Agulhas to stand at the point where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean meet. Stop at Struisbaai Harbour to try spotting Giant Stingrays, then settle in for your overnight stay.

Struisbaai to Cape Town
You'll travel through mountain and coastal scenery to Betty's Bay Penguin Colony where you can get close to African Penguins. After that, take an optional lunch before heading to Stellenbosch for either wine or juice tasting, or visit the Cheetah Rehabilitation Centre. Then drive back to Cape Town with hotel drop-off around 3 to 4 pm.
