Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll arrive in Luang Prabang and get settled at your hotel. After that, check out the National Museum housed in the former Royal Palace, then head to Wat Mai temple. Climbing Mount Phousi comes next, where you'll see the gilded stupa and catch the sunset over the Mekong River. By evening, browse handmade textiles at the Night Market before heading back.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
This morning starts with guided tours of Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong, where you'll see the tree of life mosaic. Then you're heading on an upstream Mekong River cruise with stops at Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha images, and Ban Muangkeo village where local rice wine gets made. After lunch, you'll drive about 30km to Kuang Si Falls, stopping at ethnic minority villages along the way. You can swim in the turquoise pools or walk the forest paths before returning to Luang Prabang.

- Day 3
Luang Prabang to Oudomxay
After breakfast, catch the express train to Oudomxay, then transfer to Namkat Yolapa jungle resort. Once you've checked in, take a short trek through the jungle to Namkat waterfall. You'll spend some time at the waterfall, then head back to the resort for the night.

Oudomxay
You'll depart from Namkat Yolapa toward Pak Khai, taking in views of the Nam Pak River, terraced rice fields, and local villages. A mountain trail trek follows a stream for around 1.5 hours through lush vegetation. Along the way, you'll meet local farmers and learn about their farming practices, hunting, and fishing methods. Lunch happens at Ban Phavie Khamu village, then you'll visit nearby waterfalls to cool off in the water before heading back to the resort by late afternoon.

Oudomxay to Luang Namtha
After breakfast, take a short walk to a Khamu village to see local life in action. Then catch the express train to Luang Namtha on the Tha River and check into your hotel. You'll visit the Luang Namtha Museum to look at ethnic clothing, tools, instruments, and artworks. Next comes the Lantern Village of Ban Nam Dee where you can observe ethnic traditions and cool off at Nam Dee waterfall. Return to Luang Namtha for the night.

Luang Namtha
After breakfast, journey to Muong Sing with stops at several hill tribe villages including Ekor (Aka) and Lan Taen, home to Sino-Tibetan descent tribes. Following lunch, explore the hill tribe way of life and visit Chieng Tung stupa, Ban Nam Ded Village, Ban Nam Mai Village (Yao people), and Pang Thong local checkpoint at the Laos-China border. You'll head back to Luang Namtha in the evening with free time to relax.

Luang Namtha to Huayxay
After breakfast, journey to the Huayxay border for crossing into Thailand. You'll stop at Ban Nam Chang Village (Lao Houay people) and Ban Poong village where Lao Lao local whisky is produced (Tai Leu people). The tour concludes at the border.
