Experience of a lifetime. Nat and Dave are really the "full package". Their passion and careful planning made the trip extremely enjoyable. This is my first time doing camping trips and they made it feel just like home. The places and route are carefully chosen to really give you that wilderness feeling and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Although the campground can feel a bit rough sometimes. The food, while not fancy, are made with heart and very delicious. All the activities are optional and I never felt like being pushed into anything. Dave and Nat would help plan your day and you can do it at your own paces. Special thanks to David for helping me with an emergency situation with another tour. He had no obligation to help but he did anyways and helped me resolved it perfectly. Just shows how wonderful the guy is . For those who love wilderness and exploration, this is the right trip for you. But just don't expect anything fancy, this IS an adventure tour. All in all, this is a wonderful experience and gives you a glimpse of Alaska in a short time frame. Each location was beautiful and unique from the other locations. Scott and Hank really knew their stuff and were great to be around. Any problems I had were due to my own lack of preparation. I didn't take into account that night temperatures could get close to freezing. The logistics of the trip were impeccably managed, our trusty bus Atka brought us safely everywhere and we had plenty of both scheduled and unscheduled stops to take in the wildlife and incredible scenery. There are plenty of optional activities available if so inclined, like rafting or glacier hiking/climbing. McLaren and McCarthy parks were incredible, but there wasn't any part of the trip that disappointed, it was magical. I have to say it was one of the best trips I've been on. It was an adventure! We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights at Remote Camp. Tory and Dave took care of everything and made sure everyone had a great time. No matter what problem you had, they always helped each other! The tour will end around 3 pm in Anchorage. This will give you enough time to get your luggage sorted, maybe even visit downtown Anchorage (you can store your luggage in the hotel or the bus) and then take a ride to the airport (it takes about 20-25 min to the airport and will cost you around $25, there is also a very convenient bus from downtown for only $2 and it takes about 40 min). The flight at 8 pm is absolutely fine.
