Issa, our guide was great. He is an excellent driver, guide and got us to places before everyone else showed up. He helped us to see so much wonderful wildlife a d give us a unique experience! Heidi is focused and does everything he can to make the trip unforgettable. I highly recommend him and feel lucky, that we got him as a guide. We traveled in a small group that got along really well. The lodges were good, some ongoing maintenance is lacking, such as doors closing properly, electrical outlets working well i stead of being worn out. The lodges are not very familiar with gluten sensitivity a d not eating any form of cane sugar. So they felt a little lost when preparing breakfast and lunch boxes! The Olduwai Gorge should be included so everyone goes there and have about 90 min. available.

Very well organised, variety of places. Hotels brilliant. All evening meals excellent. Breakfasts good, unfortunately all but one of the lunches DIRE. We had one guide, Francis, for the first day - he was fantastic - then Isaac for the next four days. He was also fantastic. Regarding animals I saw more than I expected, only disappointment was that the only 2 rhinos we saw were at a great distance, but obviously no one's fault.

Had an awesome time. Our tour guide Isaac was wonderful with wealth of knowledge and very personable. We saw so many of the BIG 5 except the Rhino as they are few and scarce that my camera exploded with pictures and movies. The only draw back was the sack lunches on 3 of the 5 days of our trip as well as the need to buy bottle water at the hotels when you are not able to go out and buy from the market. Plenty of free water provided on the safarirides and private tours i went on during my downtime.. The meals for breakfast and diner where superb with the flare of the Tanzania cuisine. All the employees at each of the places stayed were curious and helpful.

This tour was well organized and guided. The hotels were comfortable and the kitchen staff accommodated my dietary restrictions. I appreciated the fan I was given when I asked for a way to make my room more comfortable at night. I would have preferred to be with others on the tour but understand that is out of the hands of Global Adventure Tours and Zara Tours. I also don’t think that traveling alone with my guide in an 8-passenger vehicle is the most sustainable option. After having been on spectacular game drives in Botswana and Zambia where we were often the only vehicle with lion brothers and leopards or elephants,

This was a well organised tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide named Israel. We saw the big five although I had trouble with identifying the rhino as it was a bit far away for me. Apart from the big five we saw everything we hoped for including plenty of lions in the Serengeti, herds of elephants in Tarangire, leopard, cheetah, hippos both in water and on land, zebras, giraffes, impala, elands, baboons, monkeys, water buffaloes etc etc. israel also pointed out a lot of very colourful and interesting birds. Our accommodation was also clean, comfortable and met all our needs. I totally recommend this tour.

The best time to witness the migration is in mid August. However, please note that the migration is a natural event and cannot be guaranteed, even during this period. If you would like to add the Northern Serengeti experience, the cost is USD 300 per additional night, and we usually recommend a minimum of 2 nights.
