Itinerary
- Day 1
Marlay Park to Coolakay
Start at Marlay Park in South Dublin and head south through the Dublin hills. The path gradually climbs with views back toward Dublin city and the bay. You'll walk past Fairy Castle and Tibradden, then follow the historic Military Road that the British Army built in 1800. Prince William's Seat marks where you leave Dublin behind and enter Wicklow proper. From here the landscape shifts and you start seeing the Wicklow coastline and glens appear ahead. By evening you reach your first night's accommodation near Curtlestown Wood.

- Day 2
Coolakay to Old Bridge
After breakfast and some rest, make your way toward Crone Wood and Powerscourt Waterfall. This day is shorter than the first one. The route takes you along Crone Wood to reach Powerscourt Waterfall, then drops into Dargle Glen. Cross through the glen and climb up onto Djouce mountain. Stop at the J.B. Malone monument, which gives you great views across the valley and down to Lough Tay below. From there you descend to your accommodation near Roundwood.

- Day 3
Old Bridge to Laragh
Rejoin the trail near Roundwood and walk through quiet country roads leading up Paddock Hill, a bird sanctuary where Irish Red Grouse live. The path winds through grassy valleys with nice scenic views toward Glendalough Valley. As you get closer to Glendalough, you'll walk through forests with Scots Pines, Norwegian Spruce, and European Larch. The day finishes at Glendalough, the 6th century monastic city located in the heart of Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Glendalough
Your last day offers optional loop walks around the Glendalough valley if you want more walking. Glendalough sits in Wicklow Mountains National Park and is known for the 6th century Monastery of St Kevin. From here you can arrange a transfer back to Dublin, or take public transport instead. Details about public transport options will be provided to you.
