The tour guide, Abed, was organized, engaging and was super open about his country and culture, sharing history and detailed information with us along the way which I really appreciated. My only complaint and concern is with Intrepid's different payment structures for people from different countries (I paid 3 times more than those who bought the tour from the European version of the website. It's a really busy week, with long stretches of driving so keep that in mind. The sites were incredible and the end of March was perfect weather. As a vegan I didn't starve, there was always something to eat but they don't go out of their way to check with hotels before so none had non-dairy options like soymilk or soy yogurt. The guide did ask for me at our rest stops and our included meals always had some vegan options. But I never want to eat hummus and falafel again lol.Show moreTrip date: March 2022

The hotel in Wadi Musa was probably the one with the fewest facilities but it had a swimming pool and the rooms were clean and adequate. The tour itself visited all the main sites. Some tended to use single plastic a lot ,e.g plastic cups for juice which is a shame. Our guide Husam Abuhashish was excellent. - Ellen· December 14th, 2019The tour was poorly organized and not as informative as it should have been. There was no discussion of local customs or helpful words. Because of the slim possibility of rain, the tour of Petra was switched to the partial day there, not enough time by far, but we were not told that this switch would impact our time in that manner. Also, the guide told us that the museum closed at 5, so if we stayed in the ancient city until then, the museum would be closed when we exited. In actuality the museum did not close until 7:30. The next day, which would have been our full day in Petra if it had not been switched, we went to Little Petra, but with no mention of the closeby neolithic ruins at Al Beidha, which we could easily have walked to. We arrived back at the hotel around noon, with no suggestions as to what to do the rest of the day. I found reference to the museum in the Lonely Planet guide and we went there then, spending several hours, which still was not enough. Free and excellent, and should certainly have been at least mentioned, if not included, in the tour. If you prefer not to share a room you can book a single supplement, on Jordan Discovery this is an additional $450 USD. Also, yes the tour will come to and end on the last day after breakfast so you are free to depart at any time and will be able to make a flight for the afternoon.

There will be Vegan options available to you in destination, but please note that selection may be more limited. We always recommend bringing snacks and other food items with you as well just in case in certain areas options are scarce. As for the single supplement, once it is confirmed by our Operations team it would mean that you have your own room for the entirety of this specific trip.
