Asked on May 5th, 2025I am interested in this tour but I need help with booking accommodation. I am a solo traveler and I'd like to book either a B&B or hotel room. Could you give me some options, please?
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Accommodation is not included in the tour price as we prefer to let you choose exactly what kind of accommodation you want, depending on your budget. Could you please let us know your preference among those following options: Youth Hostel: Bed in a dormitory room from £30 to £40 per person per night (female, male or mixed dorms). Bed & Breakfast: From £65 to £85 per person per night for a shared room (double, twin, or family rooms). From £75 to £125 per night for single occupancy (single room). Hotel: From £75+ per person per night per person per night based on two people sharing (single, double, twin or family rooms). Please note that all accommodation costs depend on availability and season. Also, please be advised that most B&B accommodation providers only accept cash payments and do not accept debit/credit cards as method of payment.

Traveler•Written May 2025I would like either a Bed & Breakfast or hotel with a private room and bathroom.
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written May 2025
When booking, you should have the option to select Single B&B. This will let us know that you are looking for us to book you a single bedroom in a B&B. We cannot guarantee an ensuite bathroom however, as not every B&B in Portree has them available, and as you're looking at booking with less than a months notice, there may not be any left for your chosen date.

Traveler•Written March 2025Any group tour departing on April 29?
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written March 2025
Yes, we do have a 3-day Skye, The Highlands and Loch Ness tour scheduled to depart on Tuesday 29th April. Regarding the luggage, if you bring one medium sized suitcase (63 to 67 centimetres / 25 to 26 inches), one carry-on suitcase and one small personal item such as a backpack that you can bring with you inside the coach, we can accept that, but please note that this is the maximum limit we can allow per passenger, so if you have more luggage than this, you will need to store the rest of your bags on a safe left luggage facility.

Asked on February 2nd, 2025What are the luggage allowances on the tour?
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written February 2025
On our extended tours you are allowed to bring a medium-sized suitcase, which, in general, is considered to be between 63 and 67 centimetres in height (25 to 26 inches). This is necessary to ensure that luggage for all the passengers travelling on the tour can be stored safely into the hold. In addition to the medium sized suitcase, you are able to take a small piece of hand luggage onto the coach itself as a carry-on allowance.

Asked on November 26th, 2024We are planning to go to Scotland next year during the winter. We are interested in the package of 3-day tour in the isle of skye. I see that the accommodation is not included. In that case, do you have recommendations? as the members of the group will not be in the same place, are we having a meeting point?
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written November 2024
We use a wide range of different accommodation providers. These are all tried and tested by ourselves to ensure that they meet our high standards. We are unable to provide you with a full list, but we would suggest looking at booking.com and searching for accommodation in central Portree. Our departure point is from outside the green Ensign Ewart pub, at 521-523 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PE. If you're starting the tour in Glasgow, our departure point will be from 19 Killermont Street, Glasgow, G2 3NX.

Asked on November 18th, 2024im looking to book my train back to london after this trip ends, but can you tell me how good is the time keeping on the trip when it says the tour ends at 7:30pm, will i be able to make my 8pm train home?? or do you know if sometimes these tours do run late on the third and final day
- Timberbush ToursOperator•Written November 2024
The tour returns to Edinburgh around 7:30pm on the last day of the tour. While we always aim to return on time this may change depending on unforeseen circumstances such as heavy road traffic, diversions or accidents so we recommend leaving as much time as possible for further travels.
