- GCGeorgina· April 3rd, 2025My time in Costa Rica was fantastic, from start to finish it was filled with thrilling activities, gorgeous wildlife and a wonderful group to share it with. Cesar our guide was knowledgeable and highly organised. I recommend this trip to anyone considering, if you're unsure, just book it, you wont regret it! I've got memories that will last me a lifetime. One thing that does need improving is the service pre-departure though. I couldn't login to my G Adventures account or app a couple of weeks before travel. I spoke to representatives on live chat multiple times, and no one was able to fix it, I was just told to keep waiting. They assured me that I didn't need anything on there, but on arrival in San Jose the bus driver needed to know what hotel I was going to, and because I couldn't access the app, I had no idea. This made the start of the trip considerably more stressful than it needed to be, and its still not resolved. I also missed out on the pre-trip group chat. So G Adventures- please fix this now, this is currently the only thing hampering my experience.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much for your honest feedback, Georgina! - Sharon· March 12th, 2024The tour and the tour leader were excellent. We managed to see so much of Costa Rica and it's animals. Obtaining vegetarian food was harder than expected. If the meal contains ham or chicken stock, it is labelled as vegetarian. The additional activities were expensive but seemed standard for Costa Rica. However, a wonderful experience.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for your feedback, Sharon! The world deserves more you!Trip date: February 2024

Asked on May 12th, 2025Can I use my 5% previous customer voucher/code on top of the on-sale price? Also I would need to book one night before the tour starts (Sept 26) at the tour starting hotel, how much is that?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Unfortunately, this tour is already on sale and as per the terms and conditions we cannot combine more than one discount. We will give you the bigger discount and you can use your 5% discount for a future tour, not on sale. The total is $2159.00 CAD.

Veronica
Traveler•Written May 2025How much is the hotel for the night before the tour (night of Sept 26)
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
A single room is $85.00 CAD per room per night and a double room is also $85.00 CAD per room per night.
- V
Veronica
Traveler•Written May 2025If I want to add that, I guess I should just make a note after booking? (I don't see an option to add that on the TourRadar booking page)

Traveler•Written May 2025I'm now looking at booking the Sept. 6 departure, which currently isn't on-sale. I saw there is a spot on the booking page to indicate I'm a returning customer. Will the 5% discount be applied to the balance remaining after initial booking? I plan on paying the deposit first, then balance when due in July.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Yes we could apply your 5% evaluation discount to the September 6th date as it is not already on sale! It will be applied after the booking is made in our system so just make sure to check you are a return traveller and we will apply the discount!

Asked on April 10th, 2025I am interested in tour but am meeting friends in Playa Cocles on 22 May. Would I be able to leave tour then (when in Talamanca), and if so, would there be a reduction in price.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
You are free to leave the tour when needed, however, there would be no price reduction, as the tour is sold as a whole package, not in separate segments priced singularly as well.

Asked on January 29th, 2025Can you clarified if is a vehicle from your company or we have to find a way to travel from a to B?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
The private vehicle used for this tour depends on the final group size. Sometimes it it something like two 6-person vans or a larger one vehicle like a small bus to hold everyone together. All transportation within the days of the tour is included in the tour fee.

Maria
Asked on December 2nd, 2024How do I sign up for the extra activities that require extra $?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024
You can either pre-book some activities via the BCP or you can book while you are on tour with the help of the CEO. They will have the sign up sheets and advise if payment is via cash or card.

Asked on November 28th, 2024Could you recommend an accessible tour?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written November 2024
The Costa Rica Adventure is a journey that requires a decent level of physical fitness, with a Physical Rating of 3 out of 5. There will be some active excursions included, such as hiking and bike riding, and many of the days will include lots of walking. It is difficult for us to assert if this tour is suitable, as we cannot be aware of the reality of your physical limitations. We encourage you to realistically self-assess your ability.

Traveler•Written November 2024I have spinal muscular atrophy type 3, I'm 22 years old, I can walk, I can stand, but I can't walk long distances. That's my only issue; I tend to get tired very quickly.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written November 2024
I wouldn't want to recommend a tour that wouldn't work for you- could you provide a rough idea of how long you can walk in terms of hours? Is an excursion with, for example, 2-3 hours of walking around coffee plantation or a jungle night walk something you could manage?

Asked on October 29th, 2024what does physical rating serious mean? tour id 5239 16 days costa rica adventure i am 70 yrs old
- G AdventuresOperator•Written October 2024
All our tours will have a physical rating linked to it to ensure our travellers know what they can expect. Our physical ratings work out of 5, 1 being no activity involved and 5 being multiple day trekking trips at high elevations such as Patagonia for example. This Cost Rica Adventure has a physical rating of 3 out of 5, meaning on average some tours may include light hiking, biking, rafting, or kayaking in addition to walking. Although you do not require to be super fit for this one, you we just want to ensure you are aware there will be some more active days involved and a lot of the optional activities is also more opted at the adventure seeker or the outdoors / nature lover.
