The hostels were Okay and the transport was amazing, mostly only for the group. The rooms always had to be shared at least with 1 other person. In La Fortuna and Santa Teresa it was Dorms of 6. You can take a suitcase, medium size preferred. Allow USD470-615 for meals not included. Please also make sure you have access to at least an additional USD $200 as an 'emergency' fund. Costa Rica airport exit tax is $29USD. Tipping recommendations for drivers and local guides range from $5-10 USD per day.
