- Day 1
Lima
Your Globus representative will meet you at the airport when you arrive in Lima. From there, you'll head to your hotel to settle in and get oriented to the city.

Lima
A local guide leads you through Lima's colonial neighborhoods, starting at Plaza de Armas where you'll see the Government Palace and cathedral. You'll walk through San Francisco Monastery to check out the 17th-century cloister murals, then stop at a local food market to browse fruits, vegetables, and spices. Later, you'll have dinner at a Peruvian restaurant with other travelers on the tour.

Lima to Sacred Valley
After flying to Cusco, you'll head into the Sacred Valley to see Kenko Amphitheater with its stone altars and passages, plus the ancient site of Puca Pucara. A local shaman performs an El Pago a la Tierra ceremony (Mother Earth Ceremony), and you'll spend time with local families and animals like alpacas and llamas. Then it's on to Pisaq village where you have free time at the famous market before dinner back at the hotel.

Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
The morning takes you to Ollantaytambo Fortress, then you'll visit a local family to learn about their weaving traditions and way of life. The Vistadome train carries you through the Urubamba Valley, and you'll climb to Machu Picchu where your guide shows you temple remains, holy houses, and an ancient aqueduct. Before dinner, you might try a Pisco Sour or Inka Kola at a local bar.

Machu Picchu to Cusco
Early morning brings you back to Machu Picchu for sunrise using your second entrance. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll take the train back down to the Sacred Valley, then continue to Cusco by afternoon.

Cusco
A guided tour shows you Cusco's Inca and Spanish influences starting at Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. You'll join a traditional Pasacalle (Andean Parade) through the streets with musicians and dancers in colorful textiles. Then it's to Koricancha and Santo Domingo Monastery, built on top of the ancient Temple of the Sun. Sacsayhuaman fortress comes next, with its massive stones weighing over 350 tons. Your Tour Director hosts the farewell dinner this evening at a local restaurant.

You'll fly to Arequipa, known as the White City for its white volcanic rock buildings. A guided tour shows you Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, and the Jesuit Church, considered the best example of mestizo baroque architecture in the region.

Arequipa to Colca Canyon
A guided drive takes you across Pampa Cañahuas within Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you can see vicuñas and various birds. You'll pass Pre-Columbian terraces still being farmed by native Collaguas. After lunch, you'll arrive at Colca Canyon, a geological formation more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, with terracing built between the 9th and 14th centuries.
