Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
You'll get picked up between 6 and 8am from Cape Town or Stellenbosch and head out on the famous Route 62 for a long drive through mountain passes, farmlands, and vineyards. The journey covers about 450km, so there's plenty of time to take in the landscape. Midway through, you'll stop for wine tasting to try some local wines. After that, you'll continue through the rugged plains toward Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital. Once you arrive, your evening is free. Your guide can help you book a restaurant if you'd like, or you can arrange an optional braai (BBQ) experience with local ostrich specialties under the stars if that appeals to you.

- Day 2
Oudtshoorn to Addo
Start the morning exploring Cango Caves and the underground limestone chambers with stalactites, stalagmites, and Khoikhoi paintings. You'll choose between a Heritage Tour if you prefer something more laid-back, or an Adventure Tour if you want more of a challenge. From there, you'll drive through Karoo country and stop at a charming padstal-inspired restaurant for a South African treats tasting menu with traditional dishes. Later, you'll travel about 450km to the Greater Addo Region near Addo National Park and settle into your overnight accommodation close to the park, so you're ready for an early morning safari.

- Day 3
Addo to Jeffreys Bay
You'll wake early for a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park at dawn, heading out on dusty dirt roads with your guide using local knowledge to find the Big Five. After the safari, you'll make your way toward the coast and arrive in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa's Surf City. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach with the warmer Indian Ocean waters. If you're interested, there are optional activities like surfing equipment hire, surf lessons, or beach horseback riding. Then you'll have dinner at your accommodation or head to a local seafood restaurant to wrap up the day.

- Day 4
Tsitsikamma to Sedgefield
You'll cover roughly 250km along the Garden Route today through thick green forests and coastal views. Start by heading to Bloukrans Bridge if bungy jumping appeals to you, or choose waterfall ziplining through Tsitsikamma forest instead, where you'll move through the canopy with falls below. Forest walks on suspension bridges work if you prefer staying grounded but still getting that adrenaline feel. Later, stop at Knysna Heads to take in the lagoon views from the water's edge. By evening you'll settle into Sedgefield, a quiet coastal spot where you can walk along the beach as the sun drops, which makes for a nice wind-down after all the action.

- Day 5
Sedgefield to Cape Town
Your final day involves driving about 500km back to Cape Town or Stellenbosch, traveling past coastal towns and forested national parks. If you'd like, there's an optional stop at Mossel Bay where you can book a 4x4 Safari drive at nearby Botlierskop private game reserve. You'll arrive back at your accommodation in Cape Town or Stellenbosch between 8pm and 10pm, depending on traffic. This wraps up your tour.
