The guest houses surpassed our expectations and the Garden Route Game lodge chalets were a great experience. Benjamin our guide was friendly and informative and got us to all the included excursions and the optional ones in good time to make the most of them. He also ensured we saw key towns along the route and had plenty of photo stops and opportunities to get refreshments. Included meals were tasty and good quality. Included excursions were all good experiences. We added in the optional Elephant Sanctuary and Monkeyland visits, both of which were enjoyable experiences and a chance to see these animals up close but still in a 'wild' setting. He managed well to meet the additional requests by this group. In addition to the scheduled programs, this group did Knysna Elephant Park, Cango Wildlife Ranch visit, and Bloukrans Bungy. We stopped many times at scenery spots for picture taken. We have covered so much that every is happy with their requests. The whole tour started well with booking, communication, food and accommodation. He was kind and had great information on the area and the country of South Africa. He made sure that I saw the suspension bridge that I was dying to see and was able to go bungee jumping as well. We will be based in Cape Town before and after - so ending in Cape Town would be good, though I guess we can fly back but I think the 4 day one was a round trip?

Both trip start and end in Cape Town, The 5 Day would start on the Monday and return on Friday and if not we would see if we could start the 4 Day on the Monday as well but preferably we would hope to stick to the 5 Days for Mondays for various reasons.

We have a 4 Day Garden Route Tour departing on Fridays and this has 3 options, 1. Backpackers Dormitory shared accommodation 2. Backpackers private room and lastly 3. Guest House private room. The difference between a backpackers private and guest house private is amenities, a guest house room offers more amenities like tea and coffee station, hairdryer, towels and in some instances even air-con, while a backpackers private room is a standard en suite room with no amenities. Your choice of the package will not make you miss out on any part of the tour except the amenities mentioned above, the tour is exactly the same for everyone with an exception of the accommodation type chosen.
