As for the local fees, most places do accept credit cards, but we recommend carrying some cash just in case, especially for smaller vendors or remote spots.

Also it says 9 nights in a hotel but then says the tour ends on day 9 in Quito and if you want to stay longer you can arrange for extra accommodation. So I am confused where the 9th night in a hotel is? If I wanted to stay a couple of extra days in the Galapagos is that a possibility? If the flight is included could it be changed to a couple of days later?
