Quito
You'll arrive in Quito whenever your flight gets in. Take the day to wander around Ecuador's capital at whatever pace feels right to you. By evening, meet up with your group and the CEO at the hotel, then head downtown to a bar so you can get to know the other travelers on the trip.

Quito to Tena
An early morning local bus takes you overland toward Tena, a jungle city on the Amazon's edge. From there, you'll switch to a pickup truck for the final stretch into Pimpilala, a local community where you'll sleep in basic wooden huts with a Quichua family and get a real sense of jungle living.

Tena
This morning you'll head out on nature walks through the jungle and learn how local people use plants traditionally and what cultural beliefs shape life here. If you want, there's also a chance to visit an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre to see injured or orphaned wildlife.

Shandia
After breakfast, cycle with a local guide to the nearby community of Shandia. You'll watch how chocolate gets made using traditional cacao methods, then eat lunch prepared from fresh local ingredients back at the G Adventures-supported community lodge where you're staying.

Tena to Baños
Travel to Baños, an adventure town surrounded by mountains. Pick whatever activity calls to you: horseback riding, canyoning, hiking, mountain biking, or rafting. The choice is yours depending on what kind of adrenaline you're after.

Baños
This is a free day to explore Baños however you like. You can head out to the famous swing at the end of the world, spend time soaking in the nearby hot springs, or go for some adventure activities if that interests you like ziplining or canyoning. It's all up to what you're in the mood for.

Baños to Cuenca
You'll travel to Cuenca, Ecuador's third largest city, and the drive gives you nice views of the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive, there's plenty to check out: art galleries, museums, colonial buildings, national parks, countryside walks, or even Ecuador's only Inca ruin site.

Cuenca to Mancora
Walk through Cuenca's cobbled streets and look at the colorful homes with red-tiled roofs, the flower markets, and the quiet plazas scattered around. As evening comes, you'll board an overnight bus heading toward Mancora. This bus ride also takes you from Ecuador into Peru.

Mancora
You'll wake up in Mancora, a seaside town that's home to fishermen and surfers. Spend the day taking it easy and breathing in the salt air. It's the kind of place where slowing down feels natural.

Mancora
Another beach day in Mancora where you can do as little or as much as you want. Relax on the sand if that's your style, or try a surf lesson. A yoga class is also available if you're into that. Completely up to you how the day goes.

Mancora to Trujillo
More time in Mancora to finish off any activities from yesterday or just keep relaxing. Later in the day, try to get some sleep because you'll be heading out on an overnight bus to Trujillo.

Trujillo
Arrive in Trujillo and check out what interests you. The Chan Chan archaeological site has impressive sandstone structures from ancient times, there's a yellow colonial church that makes for good photos, or you can head to Huanchaco for more beach time instead.

Trujillo to Lima
You've got another full day to explore Trujillo and see whatever you missed yesterday. By evening, you'll board a night bus headed to Lima.

Lima
You'll get to know Lima, a vibrant city with lots going on. Head to the Barranco neighbourhood with your CEO to check out the bohemian culture and colorful colonial mansions. Try ceviche, drink pisco sours, and walk through streets lined with palm trees.
