Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and get settled at your hotel. Later in the evening, there's an option to catch the Sound and Light Show at the Giza Plateau if you're not too tired from traveling. The show uses lighting and laser effects to tell the story of ancient Egypt, so it's a good way to jump into the history you'll be seeing over the next few days.

- Day 2
Cairo
This morning you'll have a guided tour of the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx at Giza. After grabbing lunch at a local restaurant, you head to the Egyptian Museum where you'll walk through galleries with around 150,000 artifacts from 5,000 years of ancient civilization. It's a lot to take in, so pace yourself.

- Day 3
Cairo
You'll start by visiting the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque in historic Cairo. From there, you check out Khan El Khalili Souk to see the bustling markets and traditional shops. After lunch, you head to Coptic Cairo where you'll see the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Saint Barbara Church, and Abu Serga Church. If you're interested, there's an optional Nile dinner cruise with an oriental show available by evening.

- Day 4
Cairo to Alexandria
You travel to Alexandria in a private air-conditioned vehicle, which takes a few hours from Cairo. Once there, you'll see Pompey's Pillar and the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, rock-carved tombs from centuries ago. After lunch, you visit the Citadel of Quitbay and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina before taking a walk along the Alexandria Corniche by the water.

- Day 5
Alexandria to Siwa Oasis
The morning is free in Alexandria if you want to sleep in or explore on your own. Then you start an eight-hour drive south across the Western Desert heading to Siwa Oasis. You'll arrive as the sun's setting and can relax in a natural hot spring with warm mineral-rich water to shake off the long drive.

Siwa Oasis
You visit the Temple of the Oracle in Aghurmi, the ancient site where Alexander the Great supposedly came seeking advice. Next you check out the Mountain of the Dead with its rock-cut tombs, then cool off at Cleopatra Spring. By evening you watch the sunset over the Great Sand Sea.

Siwa Oasis - Al-Arj and Bahrain
Today is a full day trip to Al-Arj and Bahrain where you'll see unusual desert landscape and geological formations. The desert feels quiet and peaceful, and you return to Siwa as evening comes around.

Siwa Oasis
You'll go out on a 4x4 safari through the dunes around Siwa. During the day you visit both hot and cold springs at Bir Wahed, check out areas with fossils, and see the salt lakes that have that reflective quality. Back in Siwa, you have dinner prepared in the traditional Siwan way.

You leave Siwa early in the morning for the drive back to Cairo, which takes most of the day. You arrive in the late afternoon with time to relax at your hotel. If you want, there's an option to head to Khan El Khalili Bazaar for shopping and to experience the local culture before the day ends.

Cairo
Your last day depends on when your flight leaves. You'll have free time to relax, rest up from the trip, or visit any sights you might have missed. Later you'll transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
