You'll arrive in Cape Town and connect with your Travel Director and the rest of the group. This first day gives you time to walk around the city center, get oriented, and start getting a sense of what your southern Africa trip will look like.

Cape Town
Begin with a morning orientation tour through Bo-Kaap's colorful buildings, Company Gardens, and the 17th-century Castle of Good Hope. After that, ride the aerial cableway up Table Mountain for 360-degree views across the city and coast. The afternoon is yours to choose between an e-bike ride along the beach or relaxing at a sunset beach braai.

The whole day is free for you to do what you want around Cape Town and the surrounding areas. If wine interests you, the Franschhoek Wine Tram is a good option for exploring the Cape Winelands. Those after more activity can hike Table Mountain or tackle a mountain-biking trail instead.

Cape Town - Johannesburg - Mabula Game Reserve
You'll fly from Cape Town to Johannesburg, then head straight to Mabula Game Reserve near the Waterberg Mountains. As evening arrives, you'll go out in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the bushveld while wildlife starts becoming active around sunset.

Mabula Game Reserve
Get up early for game drives searching for the Big 5 lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. Between wildlife sightings, there's time to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the African bushveld.

Mabula Game Reserve - Johannesburg
After breakfast, you'll leave the bushveld and head back to Johannesburg. Start with an orientation tour of the city's main areas. Later in the afternoon, you can either explore Soweto and its history, or head to the Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng Visitor Center to learn about early human history through interactive displays.

Victoria Falls
You'll explore Victoria Falls with your Local Specialist. The falls stand at 108m (354ft) and rank as the world's largest sheet of falling water. After the tour, the afternoon is more relaxed so you can wander through galleries or open-air markets at your own pace.

Victoria Falls
You have the full day free to spend as you like. One option is to cross into Botswana for a day trip to Chobe National Park, where you'll see large herds of African elephants. A Chobe River cruise lets you watch elephants and buffalo at the water's edge, then an afternoon game drive follows before heading back to Victoria Falls for your final night.
