Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive in Casablanca and jump right into exploring Morocco's Jewish heritage. Your guide takes you to the Museum of Moroccan Judaism first, then you'll head to Temple Beth-El synagogue to see its architecture and learn about the community there. The afternoon focuses on the historic Jewish mellah where you can walk through kosher markets and visit the Jewish cemetery. If you're arriving on Friday, there's an option to join evening Shabbat services with local residents.

Casablanca to Rabat
After breakfast, you'll travel north to Rabat, Morocco's capital city. You'll spend time at active Jewish community centers to understand what contemporary Jewish life looks like there, then walk through Rabat's mellah to see the distinctive architecture and historic synagogues. Later in the afternoon, you'll check out the Royal Palace area and stroll along the Kasbah des Oudayas which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Then it's back to your accommodation for the evening.

Rabat - Meknes - Fes
This day takes you through two imperial cities with significant Jewish history. You'll start in Meknes visiting the tomb of Rabbi David Benmidan, an important pilgrimage location, and see the city's historic synagogues. From there you'll continue to Fes, which holds central importance in Moroccan Jewish history. You'll explore the ancient Jewish mellah and spend time inside the 17th-century Ibn Danan Synagogue with its original mikvah. Walking through the traditional Jewish quarter shows you the characteristic wooden balconies and narrow streets before you finish at the historic Jewish cemetery.

Fes
You'll see more of Fes' Jewish heritage this day. Starting with El Fassiyeen Synagogue, you'll meet local Jewish community members who share their personal experiences living in modern Morocco. Your guide will lead you through sections of the UNESCO World Heritage medina that hold particular Jewish historical significance. There's an optional traditional Sephardic cooking workshop where you can learn how to prepare dishes like tfina and cigares. If it's Friday evening, you may have the chance to join a Shabbat dinner at a local Jewish family's home.

Fes to Marrakech
You'll drive to Marrakech in the morning, known as the 'Red City.' There you'll visit Slat Al Azama Synagogue and Lazama Synagogue, both reflecting the success of Marrakech's Jewish merchants and craftsmen over time. You'll explore the historic mellah with its distinct southern Moroccan style architecture and visit the Jewish cemetery where important rabbis are buried. After touring workshops where Jewish artisans worked, you'll reflect on your five days before heading to Menara Airport for departure or returning to your hotel if you're staying longer.
