Anchorage
You'll arrive in Anchorage at varying times, so there's no organized group activities scheduled. The day is yours to spend however you'd like, whether that's walking around downtown, checking out local shops, or just relaxing at your hotel. Pick a restaurant for dinner that appeals to you and enjoy exploring at your own pace.

- Day 2
Anchorage - Prince William Sound
Head out to Whittier for a guided glacier cruise through Prince William Sound. During the trip, you'll see blue glaciers, spot otters in the water, and get to step onto a beach to get a closer look at the landscape. After you return to Anchorage, there's a welcome dinner with the group at a local restaurant so you can meet your fellow travelers.

- Day 3
Anchorage - Palmer - Talkeetna
Start your day at Musk Ox Farm near Palmer, where you'll learn how these woolly animals have been raised sustainably since 1954. From there, drive toward Talkeetna with Denali visible in the distance as you travel. Check in at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, which sits right where you can see North America's highest peak. In the evening, head to the lodge's deck to look for northern lights or warm up inside by the fire with hot cocoa.

Landmarks Denali Musk Ox Farm - Day 4
Talkeetna - Fairbanks
After a morning lecture about Alaskan life, you'll board the Aurora Winter Train for the full day ride to Fairbanks. The train carries you through snow-covered mountains and valleys while the conductor calls out wildlife sightings. Dinner happens in the dining car as the landscape rolls past. You'll arrive in Fairbanks, which is one of the best spots in Alaska for catching the northern lights.

- Day 5
Fairbanks
Your day in Fairbanks is completely open. Relax at the hotel if you'd like, or sign up for optional flightseeing trips toward the Arctic Circle if that interests you. Later in the evening, head outside to hunt for the northern lights and watch for those green shimmers dancing across the night sky.

Landmarks Arctic Circle - Day 6
Fairbanks
Spend time in Fairbanks seeing the Antique Auto Museum, where vintage cars sit alongside historical objects and old fashion pieces. After that, you'll meet a guide and take a sled dog team out through the snow. Stay for dinner at the kennel owner's home to hear stories about mushing and the sled dog lifestyle. Later, you'll have another opportunity to spot the northern lights before the night ends.

Fairbanks
Take a relaxed morning, then head to the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska to check out their collection covering 2.2 million years of wildlife and thousands of years of human culture. The rest of your day is free time. Your room stays available whether your flight departs today, tonight, or tomorrow morning, so you can pack and prepare whenever needed.
