Itinerary
- Day 1
Anchorage
You'll start with a welcome meeting at noon to connect with your trip leader and other travelers. After that, there's a scenic bike ride along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, which runs beside the Cook Inlet through coastal marshes and forested hills with views of Mount Susitna. The rest of the evening is yours to walk around downtown Anchorage and find dinner on your own.

Anchorage to Denali National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll drive along the Parks Highway heading toward Denali National Park, a vast 6 million-acre wilderness. Along the way, keep an eye out for caribou, wolves, and birds. You'll stop in Talkeetna for lunch with your group, then arrive at the park for a safety overview at the visitor centre. Your first hike will happen depending on the weather and what your group prefers.

Denali National Park
Today brings the Triple Lakes Trail, the longest hike in Denali National Park. The path winds through spruce forest next to Riley Creek, with mountains ahead and rolling hills underfoot. You'll trek past creeks and forest before reaching the first lake. If time allows, you can keep going or head back to the hotel for a free evening. There's also an option to skip the hike and book the full-day Tundra Wilderness Bus Tour instead.

Denali to Matanuska Glacier
This morning you'll drive along the Glenn Highway toward Palmer, passing mountain views with chances to stop and photograph. Your destination is the Matanuska Glacier, Alaska's largest road-access glacier at 27 miles long and 4 miles wide. With provided ice cleats and helmet, you'll walk on the glacier with an experienced Alaskan guide, looking at ice formations thousands of years old. Each day on the glacier is different because of how it shifts and changes.

Matanuska Glacier to Seward
Start with an easy morning before heading to Seward, one of Alaska's oldest towns. You'll stop at Turnagain Arm, a scenic waterway named by explorer James Cook when he realized it didn't lead to the Northwest Passage. After checking out this historic area, continue to Seward, which sits at the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park and has galleries, boutique shops, and a busy harbour.

Resurrection Bay Sea Kayaking
Today is a full day of sea kayaking and rainforest hiking on Resurrection Bay. After learning about Seward's history, you'll paddle tandem kayaks across calm waters, watching for sea otters, seals, porpoises, bald eagles, and salmon. From mid-July to early September, you'll paddle past the Tonsina Creek outlet where you can see salmon spawning. Later you'll explore Tonsina Point with its ghost forest and tall waterfall, stop for lunch in the forest, and take a beach walk with plenty of photo chances.

Seward to Anchorage
Before leaving Seward, you'll take a walk to see Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park and listen to the sound of the glacier. Then it's back to Anchorage where your adventure ends. If you'd like to stay longer, contact your booking agent before the trip.
